Systems and methods for enthalpy monitoring of a fluid
A system includes a downhole tool having a housing and a passage extending through the housing, where the passage includes an inlet configured to receive a flow of a wellbore fluid and an outlet configured to discharge the flow of the wellbore fluid. The downhole tool includes a heating element configured to heat the flow of the wellbore fluid and to enable the flow of the wellbore fluid to transition to a single-phase fluid flow within the passage. The downhole tool includes a phase composition sensor positioned adjacent the passage and configured to provide feedback indicative of formation of the single-phase fluid flow. The system includes a controller configured to monitor a power consumption of the heating element and to determine an enthalpy of the wellbore fluid based in part on the power consumption and the feedback from the phase composition sensor.
DEVICE FOR DETECTING THE PRESENCE OF POLLEN IN THE AIR, AND CORRESPONDING DETECTION METHOD
A device for detecting the presence of pollen in the air, including a measuring chamber isolated from external light, an arrangement configured to drive an air flow through the measuring chamber, and a light source emitting a light beam in a direction of propagation through the air flow, into the measuring chamber. The device includes at least four photosensitive sensors configured to measure the luminous flux diffused by the illuminated air flow, in four different directions, a clock, at least two meteorological sensors, and at least one computer capable of determining the nature of a pollen particle present in the air from the data measured by the photosensitive sensors, the clock and the meteorological sensors.
In-Situ Probe
A device for monitoring a bioreactor is configured for in-situ analysis, e.g., by NIR, without the need for withdrawing a sample into a sample cell or into an ex-situ arrangement. The device can be inserted into a port of the bioreactor and provides a sample detection region defined by an optical element such as a lens and a photodetector. The electrical signal obtained from a photodetector that is part of the device can be directed to an analyzer via a detachable electrical connection.

Smoke detection and localization based on cloud platform
A detection system for measuring one or more conditions within an area. At least one fiber optic cable transmits light wherein the at least one fiber optic cable defines a plurality of nodes arranged to measure the one or more conditions. A control system communicates with the at least one fiber optic cable such that scattered light and a time of flight record is transmitted from the at least one fiber optic cable to the control system. The control system includes a detection algorithm operable to identify a portion of the scattered light associated with each of the plurality of nodes. When determining an alert, the control system transmits data associated with a presence and magnitude of the one or more conditions at each of the plurality of nodes to a cloud computing environment and, in return, receives a notification based on the data transmitted.
