DIFFRACTOMETRIC SENSING DEVICE
A diffractometric sensing device for analyzing molecular interactions is described, the diffractometric sensing device comprising a transparent carrier medium, the carrier medium comprising a grating structure (42.1-42.5) with a plurality of consecutive surfaces or lines and a plurality of binding sites arranged thereon, the binding sites being configured to interact with one or more target molecules, wherein the grating structure is configured to diffract a portion of coherent light propagating in the carrier medium so as to produce a constructive interference signal at a light detector (4.1-4.4), the signal being dependent on molecular interactions at or in the vicinity of the binding sites. The invention offers more sensitivity, faster response, miniaturization, easy manufacturing and more applications compared to current diffractometric sensing devices.

HUMIDITY-SENSING STRUCTURAL COLOR EMITTING LAMINATE AND STRUCTURAL COLOR DISPLAY DEVICE SELF-POWERED BY TRIBOELECTRICITY INCLUDING THE SAME LAMINATE
The present invention relates to a humidity-sensing structural color emitting laminate and a structural color display device self-powered by triboelectricity including the same, and more specifically to a structural color display device self-powered by triboelectricity, which can directly sense humidity among human body signals and display the same in structural color immediately without a separate power source and without data processing, and a humidity-sensing structural color emitting laminate for implementing the same.
Photonic interferometer based sensing
A sensing system for characterizing analytes of interest in a sample comprises a photonic integrated circuit with an integrated interferometer. The integrated interferometer is configured for spectroscopic operation. The integrated interferometer comprises at least a sensing arm and a reference arm, both the sensing arm and the reference arm having an exposable segment available for interaction with the sample, whereby the exposable segment of the reference arm has an optical path length which is smaller than twice the optical path length of the exposable segment of the sensing arm. The exposable section of the sensing arm is selective to the analyte of interest, whereas the exposable section of the reference arm is not selective to the analyte of interest.
Multi-target photonic biosensor, and method for manufacturing and preparing same
A component or device is provided for the detection or the measurement in parallel of one or more specific types of biological or chemical target products. This component includes a group of nanotubes selected and/or functionalized to interact with the target product, around an optical waveguide. Thus, an optical coupling is produced between the optical waveguide and one or more optical characteristics of these nanotubes, the modifications of which are evaluated in the presence of the target product. In addition, a method is provided for manufacturing and preparing such a component or device, and a detection method using them, as well as a post-manufacture preparation method comprising a specific functionalization for different target products starting from the same type of pluripotent generic component. Also provided is a family of PFO-based functionalization polymers.
OPTICAL DETECTION TYPE CHEMICAL SENSOR
An optical detection type chemical sensor includes a light source, a detection element and a photodetector. The detection element is constituted of a laminate in which a multilayer film including a chemical detection layer, an optical interference layer, and a half mirror layer is formed on a transparent substrate. At least one of the layers includes a magnetic material. Light from the light source is applied to the detection element under the condition that the light enters inside of the detection element from the rear surface of the transparent substrate on which the laminate is not formed and multiple reflection occurring in the laminate intensifies the magneto-optical effect. A subject is detected by using the photodetector to detect a magneto-optical signal indicating a change in reflected light from the laminate resulting from a change in an optical property resulting from a reaction in the chemical detection layer.
