Color sensing using pulsed light
Techniques for detecting a color of a color changing indicator in the presence of ambient light. In an example, a system includes a light source, a photodetector, and a processor. The processor obtains a first measurement of ambient light received from the photodetector while the light source is off. The processor causes the light source to transmit light. The processor obtains a second measurement from the photodetector during the transmission, the second measurement including the ambient light and the pulsed light reflected from an object. The processor determines a color of the color changing indicator by removing an ambient light signal from the second measurement based on the first measurement and therefrom determines a volume of bodily exudate present.

MULTICHANNEL HYDRATION MANAGEMENT SENSOR
A sweat sensor decal may include a first hydrophobic layer comprising a transparent or semi-transparent material and a second hydrophobic layer defining an inlet hole. A substrate layer may be positioned in between the first hydrophobic layer and the second hydrophobic layer such that the inlet hole of the second hydrophobic layer is adjacent to a receiving area on a surface of the substrate layer. The substrate layer comprises a plurality of channels separated by an elongated hole in the substrate layer. The channels may extend away from the receiving area of the substrate layer/Sweat received by the receiving area may be wicked along the channels cause the substrate to change colors.

Air dryer cartridge and device comprising an air dryer cartridge
An air dryer cartridge for reducing moisture of air supplied to an electronics housing has a cartridge housing containing a drying agent through which air is guided. A sensor unit of an optical measuring system is provided for determining the moisture content of the drying agent. The cartridge has a light-permeable casing surface section so that an optical signal emitted from the optical measuring system can pass through the casing surface section. In the method for determining a moisture content of the drying agent of the air dryer cartridge, an optical signal from a sending module is emitted onto or through the drying agent and received by a receiving module where a measured value is determined. The moisture content is determined by comparing the measured value with a data set of measured value-specific values for moisture contents or by a calculation rule for moisture content based on measured value.

MOISTURE DETECTION METHOD AND MOISTURE DETECTION SYSTEM
Provided are a moisture detection method and a moisture detection system which are capable of detecting moisture in a simple manner. A moisture detection method in accordance with the present invention uses a moisture detection system which contains: (A) a substance that reacts with water to produce hydrogen peroxide; and (B) a fluorescent substance that is indirectly excited by hydrogen peroxide to emit light. The moisture detection system may further contain (C) a substance that reacts with hydrogen peroxide to produce a reaction product which excites the fluorescent substance (B) to emit light.
Clothing Cuff Clip with Contamination Indicator
A clothing cuff clip attachable to an article of clothing, especially a pants leg cuff, to gather and lift the clothing up from an adjacent surface and provide a barrier between the surface and the clothing item being worn. The clothing cuff clip is inexpensive to manufacture and may be disposable after extended use. The clip is easy to attach to the lower back edge of the pants leg cuff on the item of clothing being worn and yet remains securely attached even after extended use. Optionally, a contamination indicator that changes in appearance when subjected to significant moisture, a change in pH, or the presence of a selected contaminant material, is positioned on the lower floor contact area of the clip to provide the wearer with an indication of when the clip, and therefore the item of clothing, has come into contact with contaminated materials.
