SYSTEMS, APPARATUSES, KITS AND METHODS FOR IMPROVED MEDICAL PROCEDURES
Methods, materials, articles, assemblies, systems, devices, kits and computer hardware/software for improving medical procedures, including, but not limited to, hemodialysis. Particular beneficial designs and uses of disinfecting patches, scab removal patches, hemostatic patches, healing patches and artificial scabs are included. For example, scab removal patches that avoid tenting, hemostatic patches with needle stabilizing elements, hemostatic patches applying pressure at a skin puncture site and a vessel puncture site, artificial scabs that release antimicrobial agents, etc.
Medical dressing patch and manufacturing method thereof
A medical dressing includes: a lower support film; a release film; and an adhesive sheet part (110) for application, which is placed on the release film (200) and is attached to the skin, wherein the release film (200) consists of a release film part (210) for fixing and a separable release film part (220) to be separated therefrom by a cutting line (211) formed on the release film part (210) for fixing, so that a predetermined region of the separable release film part is positioned to overlap with the bottom surface of the adhesive sheet part (110), thereby allowing, during separation of the separable release film part (220) from the release film part (210) for fixing, separation together with the adhesive sheet part (110) for application, and the area of the separable release film part (220), which overlaps with the bottom surface of the adhesive sheet part (110), is relatively smaller than the area of the separable release film part, which does not overlap with the adhesive sheet part (110).
METHODS and DEVICES for SKIN CLOSURE
A wound closure device and a method of its use are disclosed. The wound closure device comprises a wound closure strip, the wound closure strip comprising a wound-facing side and a top side, the wound-facing side comprises an adhesive applied over at least a portion of the wound facing side of the wound closure strip and a non-symmetric, two-part release liner assembly detachably adhered to the adhesive, the release liner assembly comprising a first section and a second section with the second section comprising a wound closure strip-free portion forming a tab. In an alternate embodiment, the device is multi-segmented and the wound closure strip may be coextensive with the release liner assembly.
Improved patches and methods for delivering an active substance to the skin using the same
The invention relates to a patch for administering an active substance to the skin of a subject. The present patches simplify manufacture and improve reproducibility of results, facilitate, and enhance the consistency of application of the patches to a subject, and demonstrate improved initial and long-term adhesion with reduced risk of premature detachment.
Wound closure devices, kits, and related methods
Wound closure devices and related methods. In one example, a wound closure device includes a release liner and several wound closure meshes held in a removable fashion to the release liner. The release liner includes a main body and several tabs, with the tabs secured in a detachable fashion to the main body. Each wound closure mesh is held in a removable fashion to the main body of the release liner and at least one of the tabs, with the tab including a portion that extends outwardly from an outer perimeter of the mesh to which it is held.
ASSEMBLIES INCLUDING A MEDICAL DEVICE WITH AN APPLICATOR CARD REMOVABLY COUPLED THERETO, METHODS OF CLOSING A WOUND OR INCISION USING THE ASSEMBLIES, AND A METHOD FOR PREPARING THE ASSEMBLIES
Assemblies including a medical device with an applicator card removably coupled thereto, methods of closing a wound or incision using the assemblies, and a method for preparing the assemblies are described.
Dressing comprising a first and a second release layer
A dressing includes a backing layer, an adhesive skin contact layer, and a first release liner. The adhesive skin contact layer has a central portion and an edge portion surrounding the central portion. The first release liner is configured to be releasably attached to at least the central portion of the adhesive skin contact layer. The dressing further includes a second release liner arranged between the first release liner and at least part of the edge portion of the adhesive skin contact layer.
