PROCESS, DEVICE AND LINE OF INSPECTION FOR DETERMINATION OF A WIRE-EDGE AT THE SITE OF AN INTERNAL EDGE OF A RING SURFACE
An inspection device which is compatible with in-line inspection of containers and reliably determines the presence or not of a defect of a container, has a lighting system arranged above an installation zone and being capable of providing an incident light beam, an image sensor connected to an image-analysis unit, and an optical system with a first primary reflection surface arranged above the installation zone and interposed between the installation zone and the sensor for forming on the sensor an image of a container ring surface to be inspected. Also included is a second primary reflection surface in the upstream field of vision of the sensor to reflect light beams, directly or indirectly in the direction of the sensor. The first and second primary reflection surfaces determine first and second portions of a downstream field of vision, which overlap in the inspection zone.
Method for detecting a covering state and laboratory sample distribution system
A method for detecting a covering state of a laboratory sample container is presented. Light is injected into the laboratory sample container and an optical power is measured at a measuring location. A corresponding laboratory sample distribution system is also presented.
METHOD FOR DETECTING DEFECTS OF THE HORIZONTAL MOLD SEAL FOR GLASS CONTAINERS
A method for detecting, on the finish of containers, defects in a horizontal mold seal of the container includes the steps of disposing the container between a light source and a camera and ensuring the rotation of the container on itself according to one rotational revolution. The camera acquires, at each increment of rotation of the container, an image so that the number of images per rotational revolution is greater than 36. The images captured for each container are analyzed such that the profile of the finish edge is detected in each image, the profiles of the finish edge of the images are compared with a reference profile of the finish edge so as to detect deviations between these profiles, and a defect in the horizontal mold seal for a container is detected when at least one image of said container has a deviation.
Systems and methods for detecting syringe seal defects
Systems and methods for detecting syringe seal defects are described, including associated syringe stopper designs having seal areas and indicating areas, as well as associated inspection systems and methods for optical imaging and analysis for syringe seal defects in dry and wet syringes.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR VISUAL VERIFICATION OF SECURE CLOSURE OF COLLECTION BOTTLE THROUGH CHEMILUMINESCENCE
A collection bottle that emits light once the lid of the bottle is rotated to its complete closed position is disclosed. An annular chamber concentric to the inner chamber of the collection bottle contains a dye such as fluorophor, a base catalyst, and diphenyl oxalate. A containment device is disposed in the annular chamber. The containment device holds one or more glass or other fragile material encasing vials containing hydrogen peroxide. The containment device is disposed in the vicinity of the bottle screw threads such that when the lid is completely screwed onto the collection bottle, a detent that is disposed above the superior lid screw thread compresses the exterior wall of the annular chamber and containment device, causing rupture of the vial(s) and allowing the hydrogen peroxide disposed therein to mix with the dye, base catalyst and diphenyl oxalate in the annular chamber. The subsequent chemical reaction causes the emission of light, visually indicating full closure of the lid on the collection bottle.
Process, device and line of inspection for determination of a wire-edge at the site of an internal edge of a ring surface
A method of determining a presence of a wire-edge at the site of an internal edge of a ring surface of a ring of a container includes lighting of the ring surface of the container from above using a radial light beam at 360 and observing the ring surface according to a peripheral observation field. A first principal circle is formed in a first image zone. At least one secondary arc of a circle concentric to the first so-called principal circle, and radially offset relative to the latter is also formed in the first image zone. The first so-called principal circle and any first secondary arc of a circle are searched using the first image zone. A device for executing the determining method is provided along with a line including the device.
Flow wrapper with leakage-control of the resulting packages
The present invention relates to a flow wrapper which comprises a form and/or film tube, which forms the planar film into a film tube and/or fills the film tube with a packaging item and which comprises means to provide a longitudinal- and/or cross-seal to the film tube.
Method for quality assessment of a sealing section of a package, and an apparatus thereof
A method for quality assessment of a sealing section of a package, wherein the package includes at least a robustness layer and a plastic layer. The sealing section is formed by holding a first section and a second section of the package against each other while providing heat such that the plastic layer of the first and second section melt and thereby provide for that the first and second section adhere to each other. The method includes capturing image data depicting the sealing section using a camera, identifying a reference line in the image data, identifying a sealing section boundary line in the image data, determining a sealing section assessment feature set based on the reference line and the sealing section boundary line, and comparing the sealing section assessment feature set with a reference feature set.
METHOD, DEVICE AND INSPECTION LINE FOR DETERMINING THE THREE-DIMENSIONAL GEOMETRY OF A CONTAINER RING SURFACE
The invention relates to a method, a device and an inspection line for determining the three-dimensional geometry of a container ring surface, including the formation, by two optical systems (24, 24), of two images of the ring surface of the container, according to two peripheral observation fields having a first and a second observation elevation angle (1, 2) different from each other.
Object position independent method to measure the thickness of coatings deposited on curved objects moving at high rates
Methods and apparatus for measuring a thickness of a coating on an moving object are provided. Light is directed toward the object at a predetermined location on the object such that a portion of the light interacts with the object. A I D and/or 2D maximum intensities for at least one wavelength channel is captured that is produced by the portion of the light interacting with the object. A measured average intensity of the wavelength channel and/or intensities and their arithmetic derivatives of multi wavelength channel geometries is converted into I D (averaged) and/or 2D thickness values. Based on these values an acceptability of the coating is evaluated and thickness calculated.
