Wellsite sensor assembly and method of using same
Some embodiments include a sensor assembly comprising a sensor to be carried by a movable component movably positionable about a tool body of a downhole tool. The sensor is to take wellsite measurements and the downhole tool is positionable in a wellbore. The sensor assembly further includes electronics positionable in the movable component. The electronics are to electrically connect to the sensor to receive the wellsite measurements from the sensor, and the wellsite measurements are usable to determine wellsite parameters.

The monitoring system is configured to generate an input signal in the at least one electrode and to read an output signal from the at least one electrode, and from the output signal, to determine cracking of the one or more layers of cured coat.

Provided are a crack detection system and a crack detection method that distinguish between a case where a crack is generated in a structure and other cases not to bring about erroneous detection. In a sensor terminal that detects, from a crack generated in a transducer provided on a structure, a crack in the structure, the transducer having a three-layered structure of conductor-insulator-conductor, the crack detection system including: an impedance measurement unit that measures impedance between the two conductors of the transducer; and a crack detection processing unit that calculates, from a frequency characteristic of the impedance, periodicity data regarding periodicity of a frequency at which impedance becomes a peak, and detects a presence of a crack in the structure in a case of periodicity data different from initially-measured periodicity data being included.
Non-destructive method to determine porosity in metallic coatings
A multilayer component is coated with a fluorogenic probe designed to give off florescence when in contact with one or more metals in the multilayer component. The fluorogenic probe is exposed to radiation. The intensity and wavelength of the florescence is measured to determine a porosity of the one or more layers of the multilayer component.
System and method for high voltage leak detection
A leak detection system includes a testing interface, which includes a rotation holder configured to retain and rotate a package. The testing interface includes a plunger apparatus configured to actuate a plunger to apply a pressure to the package before and/or during the package being inspected using a high voltage leak detection (HVLD) apparatus. The testing interface also includes a controller configured to operate and coordinate the operation of the testing interface with operation of the HVLD apparatus.

A composite structure of a cargo body and a method of making the same are disclosed. The composite structure includes at least one electrical grid embedded within fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) layers.
