Chromatography columns, systems and methods
The present invention relates to axial flow chromatography columns, methods for separating one or more analytes in a liquid by the use of such columns, and systems employing such columns. The column comprises a first port and a second port, the first port and said second port being at essentially the same level or elevation above the level of the bed space on the chromatography column.
Chromatography system
A chromatography system for at least one of tangential flow chromatography and lateral flow chromatography comprising: an inlet; a functionalised adsorbent chromatography medium downstream of the inlet; an outlet downstream of the adsorbent chromatography medium; and a flow guide downstream of the inlet and upstream of the adsorbent chromatography medium and configured to distribute a flow of a liquid from the inlet across a width of the adsorbent chromatography medium; wherein the flow guide comprises a pattern of channels providing flow paths from the inlet to different parts of the adsorbent chromatography medium along the width of the adsorbent chromatography medium, wherein the pattern of channels is provided so as to reduce a difference in arrival time and/or flow velocity of liquid reaching the adsorbent chromatography medium across the width of the adsorbent chromatography medium.

ANALYTICAL DETERMINATION OF DISSOLVED GAS CONCENTRATION IN WATER PIPELINES
To analytically determine concentration of dissolved gases in a water pipeline, a water sample is drawn from a source carrying water with dissolved gas, through a water source port of a four-way valve. The water sample is flowed from the water source port towards a syringe port of the valve and into a syringe fluidically coupled to the syringe port to hold the water sample. Inert gas is drawn through an inert gas port of the valve from an inert gas source and is flowed from the inert gas port towards the syringe port and into the syringe. A mixture of the water sample and the inert gas is flowed from the syringe port towards an analyzer port of the valve and into an analyzer fluidically coupled to the analyzer port.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SAMPLE INTRODUCTION WITHIN A CHROMATOGRAPHY SYSTEM
The present disclosure relates to methodologies, systems, apparatus, and kits for introducing a sample within a chromatography system. A makeup pump is configured to pump a makeup fluid through a first restrictor into the chromatography system upstream of the column and downstream of a mobile phase pump. The first restrictor is located upstream of a column and downstream of makeup pump and a sample fluid pump. Decreasing an output volume of the makeup pump can direct a sample fluid from the sample fluid pump through the first restrictor to the column. Increasing an output volume of the makeup pump can direct the sample fluid to a second restrictor located downstream of the makeup pump and in parallel with the column and the detector.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING FLUID FLOW WITHIN A LIQUID CHROMATOGRAPHY SYSTEM
The present disclosure relates to methodologies, systems, and apparatus for controlling fluid flow within a chromatography system. The chromatography system includes a mobile phase pump configured to pump a liquid mobile phase through a column and a restrictor positioned downstream of the column and upstream of a detector. The system also includes a valve configured to operate in at least two positions. In a first position, the valve is configured to direct the output of the column to bypass the valve and reach the detector, while in the second position the valve directs the output of the column to waste.
Containers for chromatography media
The invention relates to containers or bags for chromatographic media and methods of packing chromatography columns using such containers. The bags may be used for storing and/or transporting chromatographic media and can be inserted directly into the chamber of a chromatography column in readiness for use.
Single use slurrying and chromatography systems
Methods and systems for chromatography are disclosed that employ a flexible container configured to fit within a support structure and adapted to receive a filtration or absorptive medium, such as a chromatography resin. The flexible container can include at least one inlet, at least one outlet, and a separation barrier peripherally sealed within the container to separate the container into a resin containing portion and a drainage portion. The barrier can be configured to exclude the resin material from the drainage portion during use while allowing fluids to pass therethrough. The disposable chromatography system can further include one or more agitators disposed within the flexible container and adjustably configured to be raised or lowered in the flexible container. When the agitator is in the raised position, the resin packing material can operate in a settled, packed-bed configuration. Alternatively, the agitator in the lowered position permits the chromatography resin packing material to operate in a mixed, slurry configuration.

The present invention relates to axial flow chromatography columns, methods for separating one or more analytes in a liquid by the use of such columns, and systems employing such columns. The column comprises a first port and a second port the first port and said second port being at essentially the same level or elevation above the level of the bed space on the chromatography column.
