The seal has a first end and a second end, and each seal end has a rim and an opening with an inner diameter and an outer diameter. The seal also has an inner surface and an outer surface, where in certain embodiments, each surface has a tapered portion. In certain embodiments, the inner diameter of the first seal end is equal to or larger than the inner diameter of the second seal end, the outer diameter of the first seal end is equal to or smaller than the outer diameter of the second seal end, and the outer diameter of the second seal end is larger than the outer diameter of each port end. In certain embodiments, a tube is slidably coupled to the inner surface of the seal, and the tube has an outer diameter that is equal to or larger than the inner diameter of the second seal end.
Gas Chromatography Columns with Integrated Ferrules
A capillary column includes a fused silica tubing and a polyimide coating over the fusing silica tubing. Additionally, the capillary column further includes a first plurality of integrated ferrules positioned along at least a first portion of the fused silica tubing and spaced apart from one another by a first fixed interval.
Column device for liquid chromatography and liquid chromatography apparatus
A cylindrical column body (101) holds a filler. A pair of end caps (105, 106) covers both ends of the column body (101) and has a flow hole for a carrier liquid (111, 112) arranged in the center thereof. An end surface on the side of a large diameter portion (113a, 114a) of a pair of columnar joint members (113, 114) contacts an end surface of the pair of end caps (105, 106) and also has a communication hole (115, 116) arranged in the center thereof. A sealing member (117, 118) is arranged on a contact surface between the end cap (105, 106) and the joint member (113, 114). A bottomed cylindrical case (121) accommodates the pair of end caps (105, 106) and a large diameter portion of the pair of joint members (113, 114) in an engaged state. A cover member (124) is detachably installed on a side of an opening of the case (121).
Establishing fluidic connections between chromatography components
A clamp assembly includes a rail configured to receive a first fluidic assembly, and a carriage slidably mounted to the rail and configured to receive a second fluidic assembly. The carriage is operable to establish a first fluid tight seal between the first fluidic assembly and a chromatography column received within the claim assembly, and to establish a second fluid tight seal between the second fluidic assembly and the chromatography column.
Sealing element for a fluidic connection
A sealing element for sealing a fluidic connection between a coupling element and a tubular element and thereby providing a sealed flow path through the tubular element and between the coupling element and the tubular element in a longitudinal direction, the sealing element comprising: a recess extending in the longitudinal direction, the recess configured to receive the tubular element; a transverse wall defining an extent of the recess in the longitudinal direction, the transverse wall having a through hole.
Biocompatible Tubing for Liquid Chromatography Systems
A biocompatible tube and fitting system that can be used in a liquid chromatography system is described. The tube can have a polymer tip and can be used in conjunction with one or more fitting assembly.
CONNECTOR FOR FLUID CHROMATOGRAPHY
The invention generally relates to a connector for fluid chromatography, such as gas chromatography and liquid chromatography, having a female assembly including a receiving member being designed and configured to receive, and releasably interlock with, a male assembly. The connector is particularly suited for high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) applications.
Finger-Tight Gas Chromatograph (GC) Column Connections
A gas chromatograph (GC) column connection device includes a housing including first and second opposite ends, the housing including a housing bore extending therethrough between the first and second ends of the housing. The device includes: a piston in the housing bore; a ferrule at least partially in the housing bore at a second end of the piston; a biasing mechanism in the housing bore at a first end of the piston; and a retaining member in the housing bore between the first end of the housing and the biasing mechanism, with the retaining member spaced apart from the first end of the housing. The retaining member is configured to retain the biasing mechanism such that the biasing mechanism urges the piston axially toward the second end of the housing.
CHROMATOGRAPHY COLUMN WITH DUAL-PURPOSE VALVE ASSEMBLY
The present invention discloses methods for packing chromatography columns using dual-purpose valve assemblies. The key components of the dual-purpose valve comprise of the following; the inlet port (224) which sits on the first adaptor (212), the hollow nozzle (320) which passes through the first adaptor (212) cavity and is closed on the bottom end, and the internal movable plug (322). Different components of our de-vice work in way that the mobile phase and analyte(s) distribution is not blocked in the centre of the column, allowing for a uniform and homogeneous fluid distribution. This simple yet novel design offers uniform fluid distribution, stable packed bed, eliminates any void volume, and prevents bacterial contamination/growth. Ease of use, scalability, ease of cleaning, cost-efficiency and fine-tuning packing conditions such as pressure are key features of this invention.
DEVICE FOR CONNECTING A FLEXIBLE TUBE OR PIPE, PREFERABLY A CAPILLARY
The present invention relates to a device for connecting a tube or hose, preferably a capillary, comprising a core element having a threaded section for connecting to a connection socket, and a cap element which extends around the core element in the peripheral direction offset from the threaded section in a longitudinal direction, wherein the core element and the cap element are rotationally coupled to one other in a way that a torque applied to the cap element is transferred to the core element, and above a threshold of the torque in a screw-in rotational direction of the core element a relative movement of the cap element is performed relative to the core element instead of the transfer of torque, wherein an intermediate element for providing a coupling between the core element and the cap element is arranged.
