Packing of Chromatography Columns
Disclosed herein is a packing method for high efficiency chromatography columns starting from dry swellable particles, as well as columns packed by the method and the use of the columns in separation of biomolecules. In the packing method, an amount of dry swellable particles sufficient to give a swollen volume in a liquid of about 105-120% of the column chamber volume is transferred to the column, the column is closed and the liquid is provided to the column.
VACUUM LIQUID EXTRACTION AND PURIFICATION SYSTEMS AND METHODS
The invention features compact systems and methods for vacuum liquid purification and extraction of a liquid sample.
UNIONS AND COUPLERS
One aspect of the invention provides a gas chromatography union including: a first port; a second port in fluid communication with the first port; and a first pair of wings defining a first recess. Another aspect of the invention provides a union including: a first port; a second port in fluid communication with the first port; and at least a first protrusion defining a first recess. Another aspect of the invention provides a coupler including: a first port; a second port in fluid communication with the first port; and a first connector positioned on a portion of a surface of the coupler.
Parallel Assembly of Chromatography Column Modules
A parallel assembly of chromatography column modules, the assembly having one common assembly inlet and one common assembly outlet, each column module comprising a bed space filled with chromatography medium and each column module comprises integrated fluid conduits which when the column module is connected with other column modules are adapted to connect the bed space of the column module with the assembly inlet and the assembly outlet, wherein the total length and/or volume of the fluid conduit from the assembly inlet to one bed space together with the length and/or volume of the fluid conduit from the same bed space to the assembly outlet is substantially the same for all bed spaces and modules installed in the parallel assembly.
Multi-capillary monolith made from amorphous silica and/or activated alumina
The invention relates to a monolithic porous material based on amorphous silica or activated alumina or on one of their mixtures, the material comprising substantially rectilinear capillary ducts that lie parallel to one another, and being intended to be used as packing in a chromatography column, characterised in that: the ducts have, relative to one another, a substantially uniform cross section; the cross-section of each duct is uniform over its entire length; the ducts pass right through the material; the volume of micropores smaller than 0.3 nm is smaller than 50% of the total porous volume of the material.
Compact gas analysis device and method
A gas analysis device suited for e.g. medical analysis of exhaled breath from a subject. A gas inlet receives a gas sample to a flow path for guiding the gas sample to two or more gas separators, e.g. gas chromatography columns, with respective molecule selectivity properties which are different. One or more detectors, each with a sensor, are arranged to generate respective responses to outputs from the two or more gas separators. A communication module generate output data in response to the respective responses from the one or more detectors, e.g. data indicative of selected molecules in the gas sample, e.g. data indicative of one or more diseases identified as a result of identified biomarkers in the gas sample. The device is suitable as a compact device, e.g. a handheld breath analysis device, since the use of a plurality of gas separators allows use of very molecule specific gas separators which can be implemented with a small size. E.g. a flow path with several parallel paths each comprising one or more gas separator may be used.
Chromatographic cassette
A chromatographic cassette includes a cassette including a chamber, chromatographic media disposed within the cassette chamber, a distribution network fluidly coupled to the chromatographic media and an inlet port and an outlet port coupled to the distribution network. A hyper-productive chromatography technique includes providing a scalable and stackable chromatographic cassette, loading a sample to be processed, operating the scalable chromatographic cassette having an adsorptive chromatographic bed having a volume greater than 0.5 liter by establishing a flow at a linear velocity greater than 500 cm/hr with a residence time of the loading step of less than one minute.
STACK PIVOT EXPLOIT DETECTION AND MITIGATION
Examples of the present disclosure describe systems and methods for detecting and mitigating stack pivoting exploits. In aspects, various checkpoints may be identified in software code. At each checkpoint, the current stack pointer, stack base, and stack limit for each mode of execution may be obtained. The current stack pointer for each mode of execution may be evaluated to determine whether the stack pointer falls within a stack range between the stack base and the stack limit of the respective mode of execution. When the stack pointer is determined to be outside of the expected stack range, a stack pivot exploit is detected and one or more remedial actions may be automatically performed.
