One embodiment of a method of estimating unknown proportions of a plurality of end-members in an unknown mixture comprises receiving fingerprint data of a plurality of end-members and an unknown mixture comprising unknown proportions of the plurality of end-members; processing the fingerprint data of the plurality of end-members and the unknown mixture to generate peak height data of the plurality of end-members and the unknown mixture; and generating an estimate of the unknown proportions of the plurality of end-members in the unknown mixture by applying a Markov Chain Monte Carlo method to the peak height data of the plurality of end-members and the unknown mixture.
Analytical method and apparatus using fingerprints on the basis of types in expression levels of express trace proteins and/or peptides contained in living tissue and/or biological fluid
Provided are an analytical method and apparatus using fingerprints on the basis of the types and expression levels of expressed trace proteins and/or peptides contained in living tissue and/or biological fluid. The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for analyzing the status of living tissue and/or biological fluid by binding a specific fluorogenic reagent (such as DAABD-Cl) to expressed trace proteins and/or peptides contained in living tissue and/or biological fluid without degradation treatment followed by precisely detecting and separating by nano-liquid chromatography, and subsequently continuously and quantitatively measuring the separated and purified fluorescent labelled proteins and/or peptides using a fluorescence detector. The use of a nano-liquid chromatograph having a fluorescence detector makes it possible to obtain profiles of expressed trace proteins and/or peptides contained in living tissue and/or biological fluid.
Method for identifying grape seed extract authenticity using HPLC fingerprint spectrum
A method for identifying the adulteration of a pine bark extract or a peanut skin extract in a grape seed extract using HPLC fingerprint spectrums. The method includes 1) establishing HPLC fingerprint spectrums of the three extracts; 2) determining characteristic peaks of pine bark extract and peanut skin extract; 3) testing a grape seed extract sample using liquid chromatography detection to identify the adulteration of pine bark extract or peanut skin extract in the sample according to whether the chromatogram contains the characteristic peaks of pine bark extract and/or peanut skin extract, wherein the addition of more than 3% of adulterants can be accurately identified. The method has good stability and reproducibility, high efficiency, obvious identification characteristics, provides a theoretical basis for the identification of the plant sources of grape seed extracts, and is conducive to promoting the healthy development of the plant extract industry.
System and Method for Background Removal in Spectrometry System
An analysis system includes a separation system that provides compounds to a sample cell of a spectrometric system. The system analyzes spectral information from the spectrometric system by optimizing retention windows for the compounds and identifies quantities of the compounds by comparing spectral information within and outside the respective retention windows.
Method and system for preserving and obtaining hydrocarbon information from organic-rich rock samples
Methods and systems to preserve, prepare, extract, and/or analyze hydrocarbons in the pore spaces of or adsorbed in organic-rich rock samples, such as, but not limited to, drill cuttings and drill cores, using one or more combinations of physical energy sources, including, but not limited to, thermal, vapor pressure, and mechanical stress. The collected samples are transported and prepared in low temperature conditions, with parts of subsequent processing at very low temperatures, thereby allowing a fuller measurement of geochemical fingerprints for the extracted hydrocarbons using various analysis tools. More particularly, the treatment and process allows geochemical fingerprinting to very low carbon number ranges.
