Cannabinoid concentration analyzer and method
A cannabinoid analysis system includes a solvent input port configured to receive a flow of a solvent, a sample input port configured to receive a chemical mixture including a sample, a pump configured to move the solvent and chemical mixture, an extraction cartridge coupled to the pump and configured to separate a combination of the chemical mixture and the flow of the solvent into two or more partially-separated chemical components, a spectroscopy cell configured to generate a chromatogram including two or more overlapping absorption peaks corresponding to the two or more partially-separated chemical components, and a controller configured to determine a chemical concentration of each partially-separated chemical component of the two or more partially-separated chemical components.
Chromatogram data processing system
For vector A which expresses an absorption spectrum of a target component, vector F orthogonal to vector A is designated as a filter for extracting an impurity superposed on the target component on a chromatogram. For vector I which expresses a measured spectrum obtained by a chromatographic analysis performed on a sample, the inner product of vectors I and F is defined as an index value u of the amount of impurity. If an impurity is present, a peak-like waveform appears on a graph which shows a temporal change in the index value u for the measured spectrum obtained at each point in time of the measurement. By detecting this waveform, the presence or absence of the impurity can be correctly determined. The direction of vector F may be determined so that, when vector B which expresses a spectrum of the impurity is decomposed into vector Ba parallel to vector A and vector Bo orthogonal to vector A, vector F becomes nearly parallel to vector Bo (i.e. the cosine similarity index is maximized).
Data processing system and data processing method for chromatograph
A data processing system including a sensitivity coefficient holder for holding a value R of a sensitivity coefficient for a wavelength 1 belonging to one peak in a spectrum of a first component and a second wavelength 2 belonging to the same peak and having a lower intensity than 1, the value R defined using the ratio of the peak areas or similar information of two chromatograms respectively obtained at the two wavelengths; a chromatographic detector for spectroscopically analyzing sample components exiting from a component-separating column and for measuring an intensity at the second wavelength 2 of the spectrum of the first component and an intensity at a wavelength 3 of a spectrum of a second component at each point in time; and a concentration ratio calculator for calculating the ratio of concentration between the first component and the second component.
Method of Increasing Quality of Tandem Mass Spectra
A method and apparatus for improving the quality of spectra of a sample obtained from a tandem mass spectrometer system containing an ion trap. The method and apparatus includes the setting of an upper and lower threshold limit on peak intensity and only triggering an enhanced product ion scan when a detected intensity of a peak in an initial scan falls between the upper and lower threshold limits. The spectra obtained from an enhanced product ion scan conducted in this manner are useful in library matching of spectra. The ion trap may be a linear ion trap and the sample may be a peptide.
