Combination wound and injury treatment apparatus
Disclosed herein is a combination wound and injury treatment apparatus including a tubular body having a first opening, a second opening, a relatively inflexible outer wall having an outer surface and an inner surface, a relatively flexible inner wall having an inner surface and an outer surface, an upper end member having an inner surface and an outer surface, and a lower end member having an inner surface and an outer surface, the first opening, the inner surface of the relatively flexible inner wall and the second opening define a passage through the tubular body for receiving a body part. Structure is formed between the inner surface and the outer surface of the inner wall, the structure being capable of receiving a temperature retaining fluid, and a pressurized chamber, operatively formed between the inner surface of the outer wall and the outer surface of the inner wall.
ANTIMICROBIAL DRESSING
Provided is an antimicrobial dressing, which includes: a first cover member having a plurality of pores formed therein and contacting a wound; an antimicrobial membrane that is made by accumulating nanofibers containing a water-soluble polymer that is dissolved in an exudate secreted from the wound, a synthetic polymer, and an antimicrobial substance released due to dissolution of the water-soluble polymer, the antimicrobial membrane being laminated on the first cover member and having a plurality of pores formed therein; and a second cover member laminated on the antimicrobial membrane and having a plurality of pores formed therein and exposed to an external air.
DEBRIDEMENT WOUND DRESSINGS AND SYSTEMS AND METHODS USING THE SAME
A wound dressing that includes a contact layer having walls defining a plurality of perforations and a debriding matrix including a polymer and at least one debriding agent is provided herein. Systems, methods and kits using the wound dressing for debriding a tissue site are also provided herein.
WOUND DRESSING AND METHOD OF TREATMENT
A wound dressing, a method of manufacturing a wound dressing, and a method of treating a patient are disclosed. The wound dressing may include an absorbent layer for absorbing wound exudate; and an obscuring element for at least partially obscuring a view of wound exudate absorbed by the absorbent layer in use.
Extensible Dressings
The present invention relates to dressings such as bandages or tapes improved extensibility. The present invention further relates to dressings such as bandages or tapes which are extensible so as to at least partially conform to a body contour at wound surface upon stretching of the dressing.

Reduced pressure, compression systems and apparatuses for use on joints
A system for providing reduced-pressure treatment to a moveable tissue site, such as a joint, includes a flexible dressing bolster. The flexible dressing bolster has a first side and a second, inward-facing side, and a plurality of flexion joints formed on the flexible dressing bolster. The system further includes a sealing subsystem for providing a fluid seal over the flexible dressing bolster and the patient's epidermis and a reduced-pressure subsystem for delivering a reduced pressure to the sealing subsystem. The sealing subsystem and reduced-pressure subsystem are operable to deliver a reduced pressure to the moveable tissue site. The flexible dressing bolster is operable to allow articulation or movement of the moveable tissue site. The sealing subsystem may include a drape with folds. Other systems, apparatuses, and methods are presented.
Systems and Methods for making Hydrophilic Foams
Provided herein are methods for making foam materials and foam material products having a polyurethane foam matrix defining a plurality of pores, a hydrophilic agent retained within at least a portion of the pores for improving an absorption of the foam material, a salt retained within at least a portion of the pores in an amount sufficient to render the foam material isotonic, a surfactant retained within at least a portion of the pores in an amount sufficient to be released upon contact with a moist surface. Also provided herein are methods for making a multilayer foam by casting a second foam layer on a first foam layer substrate and compressing the second foam layer before the second layer is fully cured to form an interface layer in situ.
MODULAR TRANSDERMAL DELIVERY SYSTEM AND ASSOCIATED METHODS OF MANUFACTURE AND USE
A modular transdermal drug delivery system is provided, the system including: an upper module in which an outer backing layer is laminated to a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer that is covered by a removable release liner prior to assembly; and a lower module with a porous drug reservoir layer laminated to a skin-contact adhesive that affixes the system to the skin during drug delivery, where the skin-contact adhesive is, in one embodiment, an adhesive layer that is substantially co-extensive with the porous drug reservoir layer and, prior to use, protected with a second removable release liner. Methods of manufacture and use are also provided, as is an assembled transdermal drug delivery system fabricated by affixing the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer of the upper module to the porous drug reservoir layer of the lower module.
