DEVICES AND METHODS FOR SKIN TIGHTENING
The methods, procedures, kits, and devices described herein assist with the healing process of tissue that was previously or simultaneously treated for a therapeutic or cosmetic effect. The methods, procedures, kits, and devices described herein can also provide temporary simulated results of a cosmetic procedure to allow for visual assessment to select the type of procedure or for treatment planning in advance of the surgical procedure.
COMPRESSION DRESSING
The invention relates to a compression dressing comprising a first cushion layer (1) and second support layer (2), wherein the two layers (1,2) are connected to each other in the unstretched state by means of stitch-bonding processes via an elastic sewing thread, the stitch length being 1.5 to 3 mm/U at a sewing thread tension of at most 4 cN.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR WOUND HEALING
Systems and methods can promote wound healing, including a wound dressing having a wound-facing surface and a second surface. The wound-facing surface can be configured to contact a wound of a patient. There can also be at least one conduit having an interior lumen operably connectable to the second surface of the wound dressing, a central window configured to allow air flow from the interior lumen of the conduit to the wound-facing surface of the wound dressing, and a flexible wrap operably connectable to the conduit.
METHODS AND PRODUCTS FOR REDUCING TISSUE TRAUMA USING WATER-ABSORBING STRESS-DISTRIBUTING MATERIALS
Methods and products for protecting tissue of a patient during a surgical procedure that involve making an incision in the tissue and retracting the tissue to make a larger opening, wherein the methods and products use a water-absorbing stress-distributing layer.
Multilayer dressing device and method for preventing and treating pressure ulcers and chronic wounds
The present invention provides a device and method for preventing or curing pressure ulcers or chronic wounds. A multilayer dressing comprises a soft silicone jell layer of a suitable thickness which is placed in the multilayer dressing, above an absorbent layer. The matrix of the silicone jell layer is populated with a plurality of silicone beads of suitable size. The beads are connected to each other, and to the silicone jell layer. Breathing of wound and substantial supply of oxygen to the wound is duly insured for all layers of the multiple layer dressing. The beads play a pivotal role in promoting the effectiveness and performance of the multilayer dressing by acting as the plurality of effective cushions, as they absorb and uniformly redistribute a patient's body weight across the entire applied dressing area. The low adhering adhesive coating of about 5 mm in width is applied to the peripheral edges of all the layers. Unlike the multilayer dressing already available in the market, skipping the application of low adhering adhesive coatings on the entire top and bottom surfaces of the layers helps in promoting overall breathability and consequently, the efficiency of the multilayer dressing of the present invention.
MEDICAL BANDAGE
The invention discloses a medical bandage, and relates to the technical field of medical supplies. One specific implementation mode of the medical bandage comprises: a bandage body and an adhesive layer provided on the surface of the bandage body; the bandage body including: a non-woven fabric base and a plurality of elastic reinforcing filaments that are sewn into the non-woven fabric base and extend in the warp direction of the non-woven fabric base; wherein the non-woven fabric base is provided with a plurality of cutting positions that are arranged at equal intervals in the warp direction; each cutting position is provided with at least one linear cutting opening that extends in the weft direction of the non-woven fabric base; and each elastic reinforcing filament punctures the non-woven fabric base up and down to form continuous coils surrounding the non-woven fabric base. The implementation mode enables easily tearing apart the bandage with bare hands in the weft direction, and has a certain strength and a certain elasticity in the warp direction.
COMPRESSION DEVICE
Disclosed is a compression device for applying compression to a body part of a user. The compression devices comprises a sleeve for substantially covering a portion of the body part of a user, wherein the sleeve has an outer surface, an inner surface, an upper edge, a lower edge and two lateral side edges. hi the transverse direction from the first lateral side edge to the second lateral side edge the sleeve comprises a first lateral side region, a central region and a second lateral side region. At least the central region of the sleeve comprises a main material having elasticity in at least the transverse direction of the sleeve. A maximum elongation in the transverse direction is from 5% up to and including 30% under a load of 10 N per cm width and a difference quotient of tension in transverse direction from 20% elongation to 25% elongation equal to or greater that 0.6 N per cm width per percent elongation. The device further comprising a releasable closure system configured and arranged relative to the sleeve, such that, in use, upon closure of the closure system the sleeve is restrained and tightened about the body part of the user.
Adjustable reduced-pressure wound coverings
Adjustable covers, systems, and methods are presented that include an adjustable cover that may be adjusted to an appropriate size by hand without requiring cutting tools and without substantial leaks. In one instance, the adjustable covering includes a drape member with a plurality of non-leaking tear paths. Each non-leaking tear path includes a weakened path of the drape member that may be torn. The adjustable covering may further include a first plurality of tear starters formed on a first initiation edge of the drape member. Each tear starter of the first plurality of tear starters is aligned with one of the plurality of tear paths. Each of the first plurality of tear starters is adapted to facilitate the initiation of a tear along a tear path. The grains of the drape member, a backing layer, and support layer may also be in the same direction. Other adjustable covers, systems, and methods are presented.
OPTIMIZED COMPRESSION BANDAGE AND KIT USING SAID BANDAGE
A compression bandage in the form of a knit obtained by warp stitch technology on the basis of synthetic yarns and comprising two textile surfaces of respective textile structures that may be identical or different, the surfaces being interconnected by spacer yarns, each surface including elastic yarns, the bandage being characterized in that said knit presents: longitudinal stretch measured in compliance with the standard EN 14704-1 lying in the range 30% to 160%; and threshold shear stress greater than or equal to 2800 Pa.
Dressing assemblies for wound treatment using reduced pressure
A dressing assembly for use with a reduced pressure treatment system, the dressing assembly develops a directed force under reduced pressure. The directed force may be a radial force or a closing force. The dressing assembly includes a shaped dressing bolster having a shaped extremity that is operable to evenly deliver the radial force and to distribute reduced pressure. Numerous shapes may be used for the shaped extremity. The dressing assembly may further include an over-drape to assist in creating a seal over the shaped dressing bolster and against a portion of a patient's epidermis.
