Adjustable pressure leg wrap
09681991 · 2017-06-20 ·

A leg wrap to exert pressure on the lower leg, comprising lower leg sized fabric extending generally vertically to provide left and right tightenable sections, at least one of the sections carrying at least two vertically spaced straps extending generally horizontally and sidewardly of the other section, at least two straps configured to be adjustably connected to that other section in progressively wrap-tightening relation, about the lower leg, the sections consisting at least in part of elastically stretchable porous material allowing air passage through that material to ventilate wrapped portions of the lower leg. Strap compression indicating markers are also provided.

PHIMOSIECTOMY SHIELD
20170014274 · 2017-01-19 · ·

A phimosiectomy shield can be firmly fixed to a human body to be able to stably protect an operated part after phimosiectomy, reduces pain in the operated part by stably preventing pressure and friction on the operated part, and helps an operated part to quickly recover by stably preventing bacterial infection due to contact. The phimosiectomy shield includes a protective part surrounding a penis to protect an operated part due to phimosiectomy and an attachment part extending from the protective part to be attached to a human body, in which a hole for inserting a penis is formed at the center of a lower portion of the attachment part.

An improved skin substitute is presented comprised of a silicone layer backed up with a woven nylon fabric layer, the silicone layer possessing a regular pattern of slits that permit the porosity of the skin substitute to be adjusted by clinicians by means of applying tension to the skin substitute that differentially opens the slits. A variety of therapeutic substances can be applied to the skin substitute to promote healing, including aloe and other medicinal preparations. The skin substitute is directed at chronic wound treatment and hernia repair.

Traumatic Wound Dressing System with Conformal Cover

A wound dressing system that includes a conformal cover and an infusion pump is provided. The cover includes a fluid port and an oxygen catalyst. The infusion pump is configured to deliver a bioactive liquid to the cover via the fluid port. The liquid includes an oxygen precursor. Upon combination, the oxygen catalyst and precursor react to form oxygen. A method of applying a wound dressing system including a bioactive powder, a bioactive liquid, and a conformal cover to a wound site is also provided. The method includes applying the powder to the wound site; securing the cover around the wound site, where the cover includes an oxygen catalyst and a fluid port; and delivering the bioactive liquid to at least an inner layer of the cover via the fluid port, where the bioactive liquid includes an oxygen precursor.

HEAD TRAUMA BANDAGE CAP AND METHOD

An emergency head trauma bandage cap with a detachable strap system and method of use, which, when applied to the head, delivers minimal pressure to control bleeding, doesn't compromise cervical spine immobilization, allows for fast and effective application of cooling gel to control intracranial/internal swelling or hot packs to prevent hypothermia in non-trauma situations, doesn't come apart during treatment and transport, and doesn't require a caregiver to re-wrap the dressing.

Wound dressing
12290627 · 2025-05-06 · ·

A method and apparatus are disclosed for dressing a wound. The apparatus comprises a sealing layer comprising at least one orifice, an absorbent layer over the sealing layer, absorbing wound exude and a liquid impermeable, gas permeable filter layer over the absorbent layer.

Shear resistant wound dressing for use in vacuum wound therapy

A cover layer for a vacuum wound therapy dressing includes a backing layer formed from a flexible polymeric membrane and an adhesive layer for affixing the backing layer over a wound bed to provide a substantially fluid-tight seal around a perimeter of the wound bed. The cover layer is reinforced with a reinforcement layer extending to a peripheral region of the backing layer to distribute forces associated with evacuating a reservoir, as defined by or within the cover, to stimulate healing of the wound bed.

Flexible and conformable wound dressing with enhanced fluid absorption capability

A wound dressing includes an elastic foam layer, a drape layer, and superabsorbent projections. The elastic foam layer is configured to engage a wound bed and has a first side and a second side, the second side configured to face the wound bed. The drape layer also has a first side and a second side, the second side configured to face the first side of the elastic foam layer. The elastic foam layer also has a plurality of superabsorbent projections (nodules, dots, bumps, lumps, islands, protuberances) fixed to and extending from the first side of the elastic foam layer towards the second side of the drape layer.
