Integrated breath alcohol sensor system
Systems, apparatus and methods determine the presence of a volatile substance in expired breath. Alcohol concentrations can be determined from expired breath through the use of electromagnetic detection. The systems, apparatus and methods allow measurements of volatile substances to be done accurately and quickly over a wide range of temperatures, and are easily incorporated into vehicles.
Systems and methods for an equilibrium wet bath
A wet standard calibration system which utilizes a heat conducting foam with the liquid therein to serve as a primary heating device to avoid the need to include mechanical agitation. The system is particularly useful for generating a vapor comprising water and ethanol which can be used for the calibration of breath alcohol testers.
Mobile wireless hand-held identification system and breathalyzer
A mobile, wireless biometric identification system includes a biometric capture device which enables a smartphone, using a commercially established wireless communication networks, to capture a digital image of a human biometric (iris, fingerprint, etc.) for transmission to a central server. The biometric capture device captures a high quality image for encoding and comparison, while the overall system leverages the existing cellular communication network. The device includes at least one other data capture device which can read, capture and transmit at least one of a variety of other data types from a variety of different government issued credentials, such as passports, driver's licenses, etc. A breathalyzer module can capture of breathalyzer sample and combine the sample data with other captured identification data to positively link the sample to the individual providing the sample.
Multifunctional breath analyzer
A multifunctional breath analyzer includes a receptor unit for receiving a breath sample from a test subject, a sensing unit providing a signal corresponding to the concentration of at least one volatile substance within the sample, elements for providing a signal indicative of the dilution of the breath sample, and an analyzing unit/processing unit for the identification and quantification of the volatile substance of the breath sample. The signal processing unit is configured to perform at least two different calculations for the quantification, and the signal processing unit is also configured to automatically display the result of a selected calculation, the selection being based on the signal indicating dilution.
Sobriety monitoring system
A system and method of monitoring sobriety using a hand-held breath testing device that, on receipt of a user's breath, generates a breath test signal comprising substance content data and user identification data, and wirelessly transmits the breath test signal to a breath test signal receiving station. The breath test signal includes substance content data and user identification data. The substance content data includes at least one of: a blood alcohol level and a narcotics presence. The user identification data includes compressed image data. The signal receiving station is monitored by a supervisor who is able to intervene should the substance level be greater than a predetermined threshold, or should the user identification data no match with a reference user identification data.
Server apparatus, odor sensor data analysis method, and computer readable recording medium for unfixed odor analysis targets
A server apparatus 10 is communicably connected to a terminal apparatus 20 that collects sensor data from an odor sensor 40. The server apparatus 10 includes an analyzer holding unit 11 that holds a plurality of analyzers for analyzing specific odor analysis targets, based on sensor data, an analyzer management unit 12 that selects an analyzer, determines preprocessing to be performed on the sensor data, according to the selected analyzer, and causes the terminal apparatus 20 to execute the preprocessing, an analysis execution unit 13 that executes analysis processing of the designated odor analysis target, by applying the selected analyzer to the preprocessed sensor data from the terminal apparatus, and an analysis result transmission unit 14 that transmits information indicating a result of the analysis processing to the terminal apparatus 20.
SENSING SYSTEM
Provided is a sensing system that has a long life span. The sensing system includes a first detector (1) and a second detector (2) that detect at least one type of detection target which is included in a first concept which is common to both of detection targets, and which is included in a subordinate concept of the first concept; and a controller (3) that controls, according to a detected value from any one of the first detector (1) and the second detector (2), start, stop, or a detection condition of detection operations of the other detector.
Method and system of deploying ignition interlock device functionality
A method and a system of deploying an ignition interlock device (IID). The method comprises receiving a time series of breath alcohol content (BrAC) measurements that are unitarily sourced from a pre-identified user, each BrAC measurement of the time series including an alveolar breath component and an interferent breath component; estimating a dissipation rate of alcohol attributable to the pre-identified user in accordance with the time series of BrAC measurements; determining, responsive to estimating the dissipation rate of alcohol, at least a subset of the BrAC measurements as being based on the alveolar breath component but not the interferent breath component; and performing one of triggering and not triggering the IID into a lockout state based on the at least a subset of the BrAC measurements.
MEASURING VESSEL FOR SPECTROMETRY MEASUREMENT APPARATUS
A measuring vessel in which a gas to be analyzed by spectrometry is intended to flow, the vessel being in the form of a hollow tube provided with a reflective material forming an optical-reflection layer, including a hollow tube is produced from a non-metallic material, and a removable supple optical article is applied against the internal surface of the hollow tube, the article including a supple flexible support, one face of the support being covered with a reflective metal material, the article being inserted in the tube so that the reflective metal material forms the optical-reflection layer.
SENSOR SYSTEM FOR PASSIVE IN-VEHICLE BREATH ALCOHOL ESTIMATION
Methods and apparatus allow for passive determination of a driver's Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC). Alcohol concentrations can be determined from exhaled breath, however inconvenience to a driver is often a barrier for incorporation of BrAC sensors into vehicles. The methods and apparatus allow for passive determination of a driver's BrAC, while detecting and accounting for a wide range of environmental conditions that may reduce the accuracy of a passive BrAC reading.
