The base substrate includes a central region, a first side region and a second side region, and comprises an elastic member. The wound covering portion is positioned over the central region. The first side coupling member extends over the first side region. The second side coupling member extending over the second region. The first side adhesive portion is positioned on the first side region. The second side adhesive portion positioned on the second side region. A method of use as well as a protective carrier are likewise disclosed.

ADHESIVE PATCH

The present invention relates to an adhesive patch. The adhesive patch includes a plurality of reliefs, each relief having a flat top face, and each micro channel groove defined between adjacent reliefs of the plurality of reliefs, wherein the plurality of reliefs and the micro channel groove are respectively formed on and defined the adhesive patch, and wherein a hydrogel layer is disposed on at least a portion of a bottom face of the micro channel groove and is contained in the groove. Therefore, the adhesive patch is well-adhered to a dry or wet adhered face.

WOUND DRESSING WITH SEMI-RIGID SUPPORT TO INCREASE DISRUPTION USING PERFORATED DRESSING AND NEGATIVE PRESSURE WOUND THERAPY

A wound dressing includes a contact layer and a support layer. The contact layer is configured to engage and provide surface deformation, slough removal, or debride a wound bed and has a first side and a second side, the second side facing the wound surface. The support layer also has a first side and a second side, the second side facing the first side of the contact layer, wherein a portion of the support layer is configured to overlay a periwound surrounding the wound bed.

Wound dressing with micropump

A composite wound dressing apparatus promotes healing of a wound via the use of a micropump system. The micropump system includes a micropump that applies a subatmospheric pressure to the wound to effectively draw wound fluid or exudate away from the wound bed, or deliver fluids to the wound bed, without the need for a cumbersome external pressure (e.g. vacuum) source. Hence, the wound dressing and micropump system is portable which allows the patient mobility that is unavailable when an external vacuum source is used.

SILICONE WOUND DRESSING LAMINATE AND METHOD FOR MAKING THE SAME
20200146900 · 2020-05-14 ·

A method of making a wound dressing comprising the steps of: providing an apertured substrate layer; coating the substrate layer with a fluid silicone prepolymer composition; thermally partially curing said silicone prepolymer composition to form a partially cured silicone coating on the substrate; laminating the coated substrate layer to a base layer to form a laminate having said partially cured silicone coating in contact with a surface of the base layer; followed by exposing the laminate to ionizing radiation, to further cure the partially cured silicone coating and to bond the silicone coating to said surface of the base layer. The radiation cure results in strong bonding between the siliconized substrate and incompatible base layers such as polyurethane foams. Also provided are wound dressings obtainable by the process of the invention.

CONFORMABLE DRAPE COVER DRESSING

A conformable wound dressing system is provided. The system includes a backing and a dressing support layer. The backing has a first major surface, a second major surface opposite the first major surface, a perimeter that includes first and second lateral edges extending from a first end to a second end, and a longitudinal axis extending form the first end to the second end. An adhesive is on the first major surface and a dressing support layer is on the second major surface. The dressing support layer comprises a first section and second section where the first section is disconnected and spaced apart from the second section to define a gap extending from the first end of the backing to the second end of the backing.

Vacuum wound therapy wound dressing with variable performance zones

A dressing for an open wound includes a cover layer dimensioned for positioning relative to a wound bed. The cover layer permits an evacuation of the space around the wound bed such that a sub-atmospheric pressure may be established to stimulate healing and facilitate the removal of fluid from the wound. Multiple performance zones in the cover layer allow the wound dressing to remain in position through repeated cycles of evacuation without placing undue strain on the wound bed. An outer peripheral zone may include a high peel-strength adhesive while an intermediate zone may include a shear resistant adhesive. A central zone may be devoid of any coating to maximize moisture transmission through cover layer.

System, method, and product for an adhesive strip configured to selectively dispense a fluid

A fluid dispensing adhesive strip is presented. The fluid dispensing adhesive strip includes a backing layer having a first side and a second side, an adhesive that is disposed on at least a portion of the second side of the backing layer, and a packet that is disposed on the backing layer that includes a dispensable fluid and an activation mechanism that permits selective dispensing of the dispensable fluid. The packet can include multiple chambers configured to contain the same or different fluids, and channels associated with the chambers for dispensing the fluid when the activation mechanism is activated. The activation mechanism can be a tear-away strip, and can include perforations, serrations, and scoring to facilitate activation. Release strips in communication with the adhesive can releasably detach from the adhesive enabling the fluid dispensing strip to be applied and secured to an object or person.

Foam Dressing With Integral Porous Film

Wound dressings and wound inserts comprising a porous film layer and at least a channel, wound inserts of forming wound inserts comprising a porous film layer and at least a channel, and wound-treatment wound inserts.
