Tissue Interface With Integral Fluid-Control Layer

Tissue dressing materials and associated methods of forming such dressing materials are disclosed. In one example embodiment, a dressing material may include a foam and a film formed on a first side of the foam. The film may be integrally-formed on the side of the foam. The film may include a plurality of apertures. A method of making the dressing material may include placing a pre-polymer mixture and water into a mold to create the dressing material comprising a foam and an integral film on at least one surface of the foam. The method may further include forming a plurality of openings in at least the integral film, with the openings being formed within the mold or subsequent to removal of the dressing material from the mold.

Extensible dressings

The present invention relates to dressings such as bandages or tapes improved extensibility. The present invention further relates to dressings such as bandages or tapes which are extensible so as to at least partially conform to a body contour at wound surface upon stretching of the dressing.

MEDICAL TAPE USING A FILM-FORMING BASE PORTION AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
20220241456 · 2022-08-04 ·

There is provided a method for manufacturing a medical tape that has a high effect of alleviating a persistent skin irritation during an application duration caused by a residual shrink force.

A method for manufacturing a medical tape includes: applying a solution polymer serving as an elastic base member portion having an elastic function to an upper layer of a film-forming base portion having an inelastic function to form a film of the solution polymer; laminating an adhesion portion having a function to apply and hold the elastic base member portion to a skin on an upper layer of the elastic base member portion, and laminating a release portion having a function to protect the adhesion portion on an upper layer of the adhesion portion; peeling and removing the film-forming base portion from the elastic base member portion to obtain the elastic base member portion in a state where a residual shrink force generated by a forming shrinkage of the solution polymer is reduced and to obtain a three-layer structure consisting of the elastic base member portion, the adhesion portion, and the release portion; and laminating a support portion having a function to hold the elastic base member portion on the elastic base member portion of the three-layer structure.

Evaporative body-fluid containers and methods

Body-fluid containers, methods, and systems are presented that include a container that has a container housing formed, at least in part, by a liquid-impermeable, vapor-permeable material. The liquid-impermeable, vapor-permeable material allows water to evaporate and be transmitted outside of the container. The evaporation allows more fluid to be processed by the container than the container could otherwise hold. Other systems, methods, and apparatuses are presented.
