System of a Plurality of Contactless Adhesive Bandages
20220117798 · 2022-04-21 ·

A system of contactless adhesive bandages is taught that are customizable to extend and cover, but not touch, wounds that are long and/or curving. The system of contactless adhesive bandages comprises one or more sectional raised adhesive bandages sealed off at the ends of runs by end sectional raised adhesive bandages. The system of contactless adhesive bandages is preferably applied contiguously in an overlapping fashion to follow the contours of the wound.

A raised adhesive bandage is taught that covers but does not contact the wound. The raised adhesive bandage comprises a strip having an upper surface and a lower surface. An adhesive is at least partially disposed on the lower surface. A pad is disposed on the adhesive and/or lower surface. Raised edges are disposed on the pad creating a hollowed-out area. Raised edges are dimensioned such that they and the pad are not in contact with the wound.

In some illustrative examples, a medical drape suitable for treating a tissue site may include an adherent surface including first adherent force profile oriented along a first axis and a second adherent force profile oriented along a second axis. The first adherent force profile may have an average force less than an average force of the second adherent force profile. Other apparatuses, systems, and methods are also provided.

METHODS AND DEVICES FOR SKIN TIGHTENING
20230310222 · 2023-10-05 ·

The present invention relates to methods and devices for skin tightening after incising or excising tissue portions from a subject. Exemplary methods and devices include tunable dressings having an adhesive layer and a regulatable layer or an un-stretched layer that responds to one or more external stimuli to contract or expand the dressing, where the contraction or expansion can be uniform or non-uniform.

WOUND DRESSING AND METHOD OF TREATMENT

Embodiments disclosed herein are directed to negative pressure treatment systems and wound dressing systems, apparatuses, and methods that may be used for the treatment of wounds. In particular, some embodiments are directed to improved wound dressings comprising a number of viewing portals that facilitate observation of wound tissue or healthy skin underlying the wound dressing. Some embodiments of the viewing portals are provided by forming through holes in internal dressing layers including absorbent material and transmission material, optionally by providing a plug material within the through holes, and by providing translucent or transparent cover layer and tissue contact layer materials.

WOUND COVERING APPARATUS
20230338195 · 2023-10-26 ·

The present disclosure relates to apparatus for covering a burn or other wound in ways that prevent or limit touching the wound. The present disclosure describes Burn Bandages that may include domes or structures that bridge over a wide range of a burn or wound size. In certain instances these structures may expand in one or more directions as they are adjusted to fit to a particular burn or wound size. Such bridging structures may include airways, openings, or voids that promote air/oxygen flow to the wound as the Burn Bandage sits upon surfaces or pads that contact healthy surrounding tissue while they cover a wound site. The apparatus may be any shape including, yet not limited to, a circle, a rectangle, a square, a hexagon, an octagon, an oval, a cone, a cylinder, have a semi-cylindrical shape, or that have any another geometric shape.

DRESSING FOR PROVIDING LOW OXYGEN ENVIRONMENT

A dressing includes an application site covering and an oxygen scavenger provided with or positioned with respect to the application site covering so as to remove oxygen from a volume beneath the application site covering and around an application site covered by the application site covering. The application site covering and the oxygen scavenger are configured to maintain gas pressure beneath the application site covering around the application site that is above a therapeutic negative pressure while the oxygen scavenger is consuming oxygen beneath the application site covering.
