Trimmable conformable wound dressing

Trimmable conformable wound dressings, kits containing the same and methods of using the same. The wound dressings may protect a treatment site from microbial contamination or other disturbances while a wound heals or to enable the application and maintenance of vacuum over the treatment site. The wound dressings may include first and second sections of support layer material on opposite sides of one or more intermediate sections of support layer material. The first and second sections of support layer material meet the intermediate sections of support layer material along peel tab junctions that provide peel tabs.

Nerve stimulation system

A treatment system including one or more of a wound dressing having one or more of a substrate element, a dressing member disposed on the substrate element, an adhesive element disposed on the substrate element, and a tether connecting the wound dressing to a treatment device.

Wound or skin treatment devices and methods

Devices, kits and methods described herein may be for treatment to skin, including but not limited to wound healing, the treatment, amelioration, and/or prevention of scars or keloids. A book-like packaging, applicator and/or tensioning device may be used to apply a dressing to a subject. The packaging, applicator and/or tensioning device may apply and/or maintain a strain in an elastic dressing.

SKIN TREATMENT DEVICES

Devices, kits and methods described herein may be for wound healing, including the treatment, amelioration, or prevention of scars and/or keloids by applying and/or maintaining a pre-determined strain in an elastic skin treatment device that is then affixed to the skin surface using skin adhesives to transfer a generally planar force from the bandage to the skin surface. Applicators are used to apply and/or maintain the strains, and some of the applicators are further configured to provide at least some mechanical advantage to the user when exerting loads onto the skin treatment device.

RESTRICTION OF SENSOR-MONITORED REGION FOR SENSOR-ENABLED WOUND DRESSINGS

A wound dressing that incorporates a number of sensors can be utilized in order to monitor characteristics of a wound as it heals or to identify one or more risk factors or conditions that may precipitate a wound. The wound dressing can include at least one sensor, such as an impedance sensor, that may be restricted from sensing in a direction away from the wound when the wound dressing is positioned in contact with the wound.

Viscoelastic wound closure dressing

A viscoelastic wound closure dressing. The dressing can include a viscoelastic backing having a first major surface configured to face skin when in use, a first end, a second end, and a middle section located between the first end and the second end. The wound closure dressing can further include a skin-contact adhesive on the first major surface of the viscoelastic backing adjacent the first end and the second end. A majority of the first major surface of the middle section can be free of the skin-contact adhesive. The viscoelastic backing can recover, at room temperature: (i) no more than 40% of its deformation after 10 seconds, after being strained to 50% elongation for 30 minutes, and (ii) at least 70% of its deformation after 48 hours, after being strained to 50% elongation for 30 minutes.

Adhesive therapeutic cover

An adhesive therapeutic cover comprises at least one lift device and a single sheet of at least a two-ply material that includes a cover material with an adhesive on a bottom surface and a backing layer. The cover material defines at least one opening therethrough or at least one opening area which is removable after application of the cover material to a patient to form an opening through the cover material. The at least one lift device comprises a connector adhered or adherable to the cover material in alignment with the opening or opening area. The connector can be connected to a pressurized source of a flowable lifting agent, to urge the flowable lifting agent through the connector and the opening to separate the cover material from patient skin. Sensors can be provided to monitor and/or control the flow of lifting agent through the lifting device during removal of the cover from the patient.

WOUND CLOSURE DEVICE

A wound closure device is provided. The wound closure device includes a first pad with an adhesive surface and a second pad with an adhesive surface. The wound closure device also includes a first tension adjusting pad with a first section, a first connecting element and a second connecting element. The first tension adjust pad is configured to move the first pad towards the second pad when the first tension adjusting pad is moved away from the first pad. The wound closure device also includes a second tension adjusting pad with a second section, a third connecting element and fourth connecting element. The second tension adjusting pad is configured to move the second pad towards the first pad when the second tension adjusting pad is moved away from the second pad. The wound closure device further includes a first cross bar for securing the first and third connecting elements.

EXTERNALLY SUPPORTED DRESSING FOR NEGATIVE-PRESSURE THERAPY

Disclosed embodiments may relate to dressings, covers, and/or drapes configured to provide negative-pressure therapy to a tissue site, such as an incision. In some embodiments, the drape or cover may have an external support layer configured to render the cover or drape self-supporting. In some embodiments, the support layer may comprise a skeleton support structure having a plurality of coupled supports. In some embodiments, the skeleton support structure may be non-planar, for example having abase portion configured to support the cover and a projection portion configured to extend over the manifold of the dressing at a height above the base portion. In some embodiments, the skeleton support structure may be removably coupled to an outer surface of the cover or drape, allowing removal after the dressing has been applied to the tissue site.

Conformable medical dressing

A medical dressing that is highly flexible and conformable over skin, while maintaining strong adhesive securement to skin over extended periods of time. The dressing comprises a backing layer, support material, and a plurality of specifically placed slits in the support material, which allow for stretching and recovery of the backing layer.
