Systems, devices and methods for microfluidic analysis
Described herein are various inventions and embodiments thereof, directed to systems, devices, and methods for analysis of a biofluid, as well as controlling a biofluid analysis system using a microfluidic device. Embodiments of biofluid analysis systems disclosed herein may provide analysis of a biofluid to identify and characterize one or more analytes. An apparatus may include a first layer defining a first opening and a second opening. The first layer may be substantially transparent. A second layer may be coupled to the first layer and define a microfluidic channel that establishes a fluid communication path between the first opening and the second opening. At least a portion of the second layer may be substantially opaque.
Data processing system for analytical instrument, and data processing program for analytical instrument
When a user creates a template to be used for the creation of an analysis report, a check result record area can be set at an appropriate location in a basic template. The content of the information and other elements to be placed in the check result record area can also be set. With this function, the check result record area can be set for each report item to be checked, with the following elements arranged in the area: a dropdown list for selecting the check result which indicates acceptance/rejection of the content; a character string in which the date and time of checking and the checker's name are automatically inserted; and a text box for describing the reason for rejection (if rejected). In the checking process, the checker inputs those items of information, whereby the result of the check of the content is electronically recorded for each report item.
AUTOMATED ANALYZER
To provide an automatic analyzer capable of relaxing the effect of a previously created mixed liquid when a new mixed liquid is created. An automatic analyzer according to the present disclosure: is configured so as to create a second mixed liquid after a first mixed liquid is created; and introduces a relaxation reagent to relax the effect of a first reagent remaining in a mixed liquid chamber when the second mixed liquid is created into the mixed liquid chamber on the basis of characteristics of the first mixed liquid.
INTEGRATED VIEWER FOR MULTIPLE MEASUREMENTS, AND PROGRAM
An integrated viewer for multiple measurements according to a first aspect includes: a storage unit that stores, for each of a plurality of types of analyzers, a type of a feature amount obtained from a measurement result of the analyzer; a display control unit that displays types of feature amounts stored in the storage unit on a display screen in a selectable manner; and a registration unit that names and registers a set of types of feature amounts selected by an operator among the types of the feature amounts. The display control unit displays, side by side on the display screen, a first display region in which the type of the feature amount is displayed in a tab for each type of the analyzers and a second display region in which the set of types of the feature amounts selected by the operator is displayed.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MELTING CURVE NORMALIZATION
The present invention relates to methods for the analysis of nucleic acids present in biological samples, and more specifically to normalize a high resolution melt curve to assist in the identification of one or more properties of the nucleic acids. The present invention provides methods and systems that incorporate a background identification algorithm according to invention principles using raw melt curve data to identify reactions that are unrelated actual DNA melt reactions. Furthermore, a web-based application for analyzing experimental data is provided. The raw experimental data obtained from a variety of instruments is processed and analyzed on a server and presented to a user through a user interface (UI).
Sample preparation, processing and analysis systems
This disclosure provides an integrated and automated sample-to-answer system that, starting from a sample comprising biological material, generates a genetic profile in less than two hours. In certain embodiments, the biological material is DNA and the genetic profile involves determining alleles at one or a plurality of loci (e.g., genetic loci) of a subject, for example, an STR (short tandem repeat) profile, for example as used in the CODIS system. The system can perform several operations, including (a) extraction and isolation of nucleic acid; (b) amplification of nucleotide sequences at selected loci (e.g., genetic loci); and (c) detection and analysis of amplification product. These operations can be carried out in a system that comprises several integrated modules, including an analyte preparation module; a detection and analysis module and a control module.
Automated analyzer
A control section causes one dispensing mechanism of either a reagent dispensing mechanism or a sample dispensing mechanism to first discharge a predetermined amount of a liquid into the reaction container, and then, with respect to the cases where the amount of a liquid to be discharged by the other dispensing mechanism is larger or smaller than the amount of the liquid in the reaction container, causes the other dispensing mechanism to discharge the liquid such that the discharge speed in the case where the amount of the liquid to be discharged is larger is decreased relative to the discharge speed in the case where the amount of the liquid to be discharged is smaller.
VIEWER FOR ANALYSIS, DISPLAY SYSTEM, DISPLAY METHOD, AND DISPLAY PROGRAM
A viewer for analysis includes: a communication unit for receiving analysis results for each of a plurality of samples, the analysis results being different in type from each other and outputted from a plurality of types of analyzers; a display unit for displaying the analysis results received by the communication unit; a control unit for controlling the display unit; and a first selection means for selecting at least two or more display target samples from the plurality of samples. The display unit includes a display area for displaying the analysis results by the plurality of types of analyzers for each of the at least two or more display target samples; and a list display area for displaying at least two or more display areas in a list, the at least two or more display areas corresponding to the at least two or more display target samples.
HIGH THROUGHPUT FLOW CYTOMETRY SYSTEM AND METHOD
The invention provides systems, compositions, kits and methods for automated processing of biological samples and analysis using a flow cytometer.
AUTOMATED BATCH STAINER FOR IMMUNOHISTOCHEMISTRY
An automated batch stainer for staining biological specimens on microscope slides. The automated batch stainer includes a slide rack assembly configured to hold microscope slides, a robotic arm that manipulates the slide rack assembly, at least one bath containing reagents and capable of receiving the slide rack assemblies, a heating chamber capable of heating multiple slide rack assemblies, a bar code reader, at least one software program including a graphical user interface and configured to calculate the timing and sequence of the staining protocol and implement the staining protocol by controlling the movements of the robotic arm.
