wherein said buprenorphine-containing pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is the skin contact layer.

Fibrin-coated wound dressing

A fibrin-coated wound dressing article having a flexible film layer, a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer disposed on the flexible film layer, and a fibrin powder layer disposed on a surface of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer opposite the flexible film layer. Methods of making and using fibrin-coated wound dressing articles are included.

An adhesive tape (1) comprises a base material layer, an adhesive layer, and a release material layer, wherein two edges (11 and 12) extending in the longitudinal direction of the adhesive tape include parallel portions (11a and 12a), the length of one of the two edges (11 and 12) is greater than the length of the other, the ends of the two edges (11 and 12) are connected to the ends of two other edges (13 and 14), and two angles formed between the longer edge of the two edges (11 and 12) extending in the longitudinal direction and the two other edges (13 and 14) are acute angles.

BUPRENORPHINE TRANSDERMAL DELIVERY SYSTEM

A transdermal therapeutic system for the transdermal administration of buprenorphine comprising a buprenorphine-containing self-adhesive layer structure having (A) a buprenorphine-impermeable backing layer, and (B) a buprenorphine-containing pressure-sensitive adhesive layer on the backing layer. The buprenorphine-containing adhesive layer comprises (a) at least one polymer-based pressure-sensitive adhesive, (b) an analgesically effective amount of buprenorphine base or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, (c) a viscosity-increasing substance in an amount of about 0.1% to about 8% of the buprenorphine-containing pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, and (d) a carboxylic acid selected from oleic acid, linoleic acid, linolenic acid, levulinic acid and mixtures thereof. The amount of the carboxylic acid is sufficient so that the analgesically effective amount of buprenorphine is solubilized in the carboxylic acid to form a mixture including the viscosity-increasing substance. This mixture forms dispersed deposits in the pressure-sensitive adhesive. The buprenorphine-containing pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is the skin contact layer.

MEDICAL DRAPE WITH PATTERN ADHESIVE LAYERS AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SAME

A medical drape for use with a reduced pressure system for providing reduced pressure to a tissue site is described. In some embodiments, the drape may include a flexible film, and an adhesive layer coupled to the flexible film. The adhesive layer may include a first adhesive disposed on a first portion of the flexible film in a first pattern. The first adhesive can be configured to secure the flexible film proximate to the tissue site. The adhesive layer generally includes a second adhesive disposed on a second portion of the flexible film in a second pattern. The second adhesive can be configured to seal the flexible film proximate to the tissue site. The first pattern and the second pattern are preferably registered so that the first portion and the second portion are offset to cover substantially different portions of the flexible film.

Systems, kits, methods of manufacturing, and a sealing member for creating a sealed space are described. The sealing member can include a film layer and a first adhesive layer coupled to the film layer. The sealing member can also include a second adhesive layer coupled to the first adhesive layer. A plurality of apertures may extend through the second adhesive layer. Each aperture can expose at least a portion of the first adhesive layer through the second adhesive layer. A plurality of polymer particles may be disposed in the first adhesive layer. The polymer particles can be configured to dissolve in response to interaction with a switching solution.

A dressing for an open wound includes a cover layer dimensioned for positioning relative to a wound bed. The cover layer permits an evacuation of the space around the wound bed such that a sub-atmospheric pressure may be established to stimulate healing and facilitate the removal of fluid from the wound. Multiple performance zones in the cover layer allow the wound dressing to remain in position through repeated cycles of evacuation without placing undue strain on the wound bed. An outer peripheral zone may include a high peel-strength adhesive while an intermediate zone may include a shear resistant adhesive. A central zone may be devoid of any coating to maximize moisture transmission through cover layer.
