Thermoformable orthosis apparatus and method of use
An improved thermoformable orthosis apparatus for being selectively formed and applied and removed having offset zipper closures on two shell members for improved hinging and opening and access for initial application and forming when malleable and for removing and reinstalling when hardened.
ORTHOPEDIC SYSTEM FOR IMMOBILIZING AND SUPPORTING BODY PARTS
A unitized cast system for immobilizing and supporting a body part. The unitized casting system includes a first inner layer for padding and dissipating heat against the patient's skin. A second layer is formed from a thermoformable structural material such as perforated plastic. A protective third outer layer is provided to provide insulation for the second layer. These three layers are formed together to form a unitized cast system that is easily formed and applied to the patient.
QUICK APPLICATION OF VENTED TOTAL CONTACT CAST
A vented total contact cast for a wound on a patient's leg features ventilation members in the form of adhering, compressible flexible and ventilating 3D fabric spacers with release liners which cover an adhesive configured for attaching to a stockinette to be received over the patient's leg. The ventilation members may be provided in sets of different shapes and different dimensions, for selective mounting to the stockinette based on the area of the leg to be aerated and the size of the leg.
CRYOTHERAPY DRESSING SYSTEM
A dressing system for healing skin or a wound site on a subject comprises a dressing having a reservoir for holding a liquid and at least one light-emitting diode. The dressing may be configured for placement proximate to a postoperative surgical wound site of the subject or on the facial area of the subject. The dressing system includes a cooling chamber external to the dressing configured to cool the liquid. The dressing system includes a pump configured to circulate the liquid between the cooling chamber and the reservoir. The dressing system includes a cooled liquid hose for circulating the cooled liquid between the cooling chamber and the reservoir of the dressing.
ARTICLE OF MANUFACTURE PRESSURE RELIEVING PAD
An article of manufacture for a bony prominence under casts, splints and or other devices utilized to hold the limb in a fixed position for an extended period of time. The article consists of a pressure relieving pad from a base substrate with a predetermined design formed from a gel material with an adhesive quality. In another embodiment, the article consists of a pressure relieving pad formed from a gel material base substrate combined with a fibrous substrate with a predetermined design of the pressure relieving pad. Each article includes at least one ventilation channel cut through the base substrate and/or fibrous substrate, e.g. the ventilation channel may have a single or multiple cut incision. The ventilation channel functioning to increase the padding around the base of the prominence thereby providing extended comfort and fitting of a rigid splint, cast or other fixing device.
Breathable Instant Cast
An instant breathable cast includes an inner sleeve of an absorbent moisture wicking porous innermost layer allowing air and liquid to pass through and a shock absorbing intermediate layer having a plurality of openings therein allowing air and liquid to pass there through; and a protective outer sleeve having a plurality of openings therein allowing air and liquid to pass there through; and method of application thereof.
APPARATUS, SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR AT LEAST ONE OF ICING, HEATING, AND COMPRESSING A USER'S BODY PART
A wearable device for icing, heating, and compressing a user's body part is disclosed. The device comprises an inner part having an upper end and a lower end, and an outer part having an upper end and a lower end. A first attaching means secures the inner part lower end to the outer part lower end, defining a compartment between the inner and outer parts for receiving therapeutic elements. A second attaching means includes a first part attached to an end portion of the inner and outer parts and a second part attached away from the end portion. An extension flap extends beyond the second attaching means, ensuring 360-degree coverage of the compartment. The device forms a tubular body with a central opening, allowing uniform compression and thermal application. A third attaching means secures the extension flap to the device, maintaining consistent coverage and stability during use.
