METHODS OF USING INTERLEUKIN-10 FOR TREATING DISEASES AND DISORDERS
Methods of treating subjects having a cancer-related, immune-related, or viral-related disease, disorder or condition via administration of an IL-10 agent, including pegylated IL-10, and an IL-7 agent are provided, as are methods of identifying subjects that may be responsive to treatment with an IL-10 agent.
Methods and compositions in diagnosis of chronic fatigue syndrome/myalgic encephalomyelitis
The present disclosure provides methods and compositions that find use in facilitating a diagnosis of chronic fatigue syndrome/myalgic encephalomyelitis (CFS/ME) in a subject. The methods and compositions involve measurement of at least one of proteins: IL-16, IL-7, VEGF, CXCL9, CX3CL1, CCL24, CCL19, and CCL11 in a body fluid sample of a subject suspected of having CFS/ME. Levels of one or more of the aforementioned proteins can be used to facilitate a diagnosis of a CFS/ME and/or confirm a diagnosis of CFS/ME. The methods and compositions of the present disclosure also find use in screening subjects for clinical trials and facilitating treatment decisions for a subject.
Human exhaled aerosol droplet biomarker system and method
A system and method for detecting a biomarker in exhaled breath condensate nanodroplets comprises noninvasively collecting exhaled breath condensate nanodroplets of a subject, and analyzing said nanodroplets utilizing immuno-quantitative polymerase chain reaction to detect one or more target biomarkers.
IL-7R-alpha specific antibodies for treating acute lymphoblastic leukemia
Antibodies and antigen binding fragments that specifically bind to IL-7R are disclosed. Nucleic acids encoding the antibodies and antigen binding fragments, and vectors including the nucleic acid molecules are also provided. Methods for detecting a ca cancer or a cell that expresses IL-7R using the antibodies and antigen binding fragments are disclosed, as is the use of the antibodies and antigen binding fragments to prevent and/or treat a subject with a cancer that expresses IL-7R, such as acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
Precision Medicine Approach to Targeting Neurodegeneration
The present invention includes methods for detecting neurodegeneration and treating a subject that is of Mexican American or non-Hispanic white origin, the method comprising: obtaining a blood, plasma or serum sample; determining ethnicity of the subject; measuring one or more biochemical biomarkers; or measuring one or more protein biomarkers, or measuring both biochemical biomarkers and protein biomarkers; comparing the level of expression from the sample with a statistical sample representative of the subject of Mexican American or of non-Hispanic white origin, suspected of having neurodegeneration; and treating the subject with a treatment that targets neurodegeneration or neuronal injury, wherein the neurodegeneration or neuronal injury is measured by [18F]-fluorodeoxyglucose-PET, structural MRI, or CSF total tau.
BIOMARKERS
The invention relates to biomarkers and a method of diagnosing or monitoring depression, anxiety disorder or other psychotic disorder.
Blood Test to Screen Out Parkinson's Disease
In one aspect, the present disclosure relates to a method for excluding a subject from the need for diagnostic testing for Parkinson's disease (PD). In another aspect, the present disclosure relates to a method for excluding a subject from recruitment into a clinical study for an investigational PD medication. In yet another aspect, the present disclosure relates to a method for screening a subject to determine whether the subject is ruled out as having PD, wherein the subjects who cannot be ruled out are administered a diagnostic test for PD, a treatment for PD, or a combination thereof.
DIAGNOSTIC METHODS FOR T CELL THERAPY
The invention provides methods of increasing the efficacy of a T cell therapy in a patient in need thereof. The invention includes methods of identifying a patient who would respond well to a T cell therapy or conditioning a patient prior to a T cell therapy so that the patient responds well to a T cell therapy. The conditioning involves administering one or more preconditioning agents prior to a T cell therapy and identifying biomarker cytokines prior to administering a T cell therapy.
