Medical pressure sock with improved ankle medial pressure and antibacterial function
A medical pressure sock with an antibacterial fabric packing and an adhesive structure is provided. The antibacterial fabric packing is arranged on the inner surface. The adhesive structure is arranged at a position the pressure of which needs to be improved relative to the medial ankle of the lower limb; an adhesive surface connected with the adhesive structure is arranged on one side of the antibacterial fabric packing; the antibacterial fabric packing cross section includes a cross section front side, a cross section intermediate connection layer and a cross section rear side; the cross section intermediate connection layer has a special shape capable of being inserted into the cross section front side and the cross section rear side. The provided medical pressure sock solves the imbalance pressure and the not long-lasting antibacterial time problems of the traditional pressure socks, thus speeding up the recovery process of patients with varicose veins.
Sock for treatment of foot and leg wounds, methods of use and manufacture
A tubular body is configured to be disposed around and to apply compression to an extremity. The tubular body includes a treatment area having a first filament and a second filament. Both the first filament and the second filament are disposed to engage the surface of the extremity. The first filament includes AgNP in a concentration effective to promote healing of a wound on the surface of the extremity. The second filament includes a metal having a composition that forms a galvanic couple with silver. The first filament and the second filament are arranged in the tubular body such that the AgNP and metal form galvanic couples across at least a portion of the treatment area when in the presence of a fluid in the wound of the extremity that produce an electric current in an amount effective to further promote healing of the wound.
WOUND THERAPY DEVICE, KIT, AND METHOD FOR IMPROVED APPLICATION TO WOUNDS ON COMPLEX GEOMETRIES
A negative pressure wound therapy device, kit, and method are provided for improved treatment of wounds on complex three-dimensional anatomies. The device includes a conformable manifold made of a porous and permeable material with a pattern of cuts designed to transform the manifold from a relaxed, planar state to a pliable three-dimensional state when extended along the lateral axis. The kit further may include a wound interface layer, an adhesive, breathable drape, and a pneumatic connection to a negative pressure wound therapy device. Finally, a method for treating wounds using reduced pressure and the presently disclosed kit is provided.
LIQUID PROPHYLACTIC ANKLE BRACE
A protective ankle brace has at least one pocket that houses at least one pouch, and at least one strap, and covers both sides of an ankle of a foot placed within the ankle brace. The pouch contain a dilatant fluid that is flexible to allow normal motion for walking and running but on a rapid movement or one with a high force, the dilatant resists movement. The at least one strap covers the one or two pockets to retain the pouch or pouches. The strap restricts the maximum eversion and inversion of the ankle brace when a force is applied and further protects the ankle within the ankle brace. The strap can be a bladder containing a dilatant fluid.
Devices and Methods for Protecting and Offloading Pressure in Casting Neuropathic and Diabetic Wounds of the Foot
A method and device are shown for use in casting for Total Contact Casting for offloading pressure in neuropathic and diabetic wounds or fractures of the appendages such as the human leg or foot. The outer casting material used can be comprised of traditional casting materials. A total foot protection pad underlies the traditional casting materials. It is a one piece moldable system that encompasses the total foot from the Achilles along the lateral and medial foot, covering the plantar surface, the malleoli and folds and extends over the dorsum. The one piece system has adhesive backing on a contact side to facilitate its application and/or forms a total foot protection pad beneath the outer hardened casting material.
Customized protective devices and systems and methods for producing the same
A clavicle protective device may include a contoured member configured to cover at least a portion of the clavicle. The contoured member may have an inner surface configured to face the at least a portion of the clavicle and an outer surface configured to face away from the at least a portion of the clavicle. The contoured member may include a first contact portion, a second contact portion, and a bridge portion positioned between the first contact portion and the second contact portion. The first contact portion may be configured to contact the subject's body above the clavicle. The second contact portion may be configured to contact the subject's body below the clavicle. The bridge portion may be configured to be spaced apart from the subject's body when the first contact portion and the second contact portion contact the subject's body.
SYNDESMOSIS REDUCTION DEVICE AND METHOD OF USE
An improved syndesmosis reduction device has a wrap of elastic material extending a length L from a first end to a second end with an open window or slot positioned in an intermediate portion of the wrap spaced from the ends. The wrap is configured to achieve a reduction of an injured ankle and is facilitated by the elastic nature of the ankle wrap. The reduction is facilitated by circumferentially wrapping the wrap from a leg to a foot or vice versa in a compressive fashion by securing the first end by wrapping and stretching the wrap to the second end. The window or slot is to permit an incision at the ankle for hardware placement without the need to remove the wrap and without loss of the reduction achieved.
Contact point reduction garment
The present disclosure provides a wearable garment comprising (a) a sheath having a first end and a second, wherein the sheath defines a cavity in a wearable position, wherein the sheath has a first opening at the first end, and wherein the sheath comprises a first material, and (b) one or more relief zones coupled to the sheath, wherein the relief zones comprise a second material, wherein a pressure distribution of the second material is greater than a pressure distribution of the first material.
Reinforced support tape
An adhesive reinforced support tape is provided to support muscles and joints and reduce exerting stress to the covered area, providing a support tape having a rear surface with an adhesive coating for application to the skin surface and a linear pocket for the insertion of a stiffening member into the pocket after the adhesive surface has been applied to the desired area, providing support and limitation of movement to reduce injury during lifting or heavy exertion, ideally suited for patient care where lifting of patients is required.
INTEGRAL PROTECTOR FOR A LIVING BEING MEMBER
The integral protector comprises a tubular assembly (16) obtained from a textile tubular stockinette (14), covering the member and an external tubular jacket (10) coaxially joined and providing protection and padding effects. The textile stockinette (14) has an elastic longitudinal portion (15) extending along a generatrix thereof and the tubular jacket (10), receiving placed therein said textile stockinette (14) is made of a 3D spacer fabric
