An ankle brace. A sleeve is formed of flexible elastic material to conform to the human ankle, with a top opening and a foot opening. A first sleeve portion conforms to the posterior region of the ankle; a second sleeve portion conforms to the anterior region of the ankle; a third sleeve portion conforms to the medial region of the ankle; and a fourth sleeve portion conforms to the lateral region of the ankle. The medial and lateral sleeve portions are formed with an increased volume of flexible elastic material relative to a posterior and anterior sleeve portions.

A supporting or compressing device configured to surround a limb or a joint of a user, including an elastic band having two band segments having different stiffness values, the elastic band having an inner face in contact with an area covered by the band and an outer face opposite to the inner face, the inner face of the band providing, in the presence of a compression pressure exerted when the band is fitted under traction around a limb or joint, an adhesion with the covered area, such that the two segments of the band conserve elongations resulting from different traction forces, after removal of the traction forces.

A compression foot garment is integrally knit of a body yarn, and adapted for wear on a foot of a user. The foot garment incorporates first and second high compression zones, and a compression release zone between the high compression zones. The first high compression zone is adapted for applying substantially circumferential compression to the foot below the plantar fascia between the calcaneus and metatarso-phalangeal joints and generally around the midfoot. The second high compression zone is adapted for applying substantially circumferential compression to the foot above the calcaneus and generally around an ankle of the user. The first and second high compression zones may comprise elastic yarns integrated with the body yarn. The compression release zone is adapted for applying reduced compression to the foot in an area between the first and second high compression zones.

An ankle support is disclosed and described. The ankle support can include a sleeve that can have a non-stretchable bottom portion to extend under a bottom of a foot. In addition, the sleeve can have side portions extending from the bottom portion to at least an ankle joint. The ankle support can also include non-stretchable support straps connected to the bottom portion, and free ends extending therefrom. In addition, the ankle support can have removable coupling features for the free ends of the support straps located on the side portions. The support straps can cross on a top side of the foot. Along with the bottom portion, the support straps can form a non-stretchable support structure for minimizing movement of the subtalar joint of the ankle.

A flexible joint brace. The brace has a generally annular structure with a main section and at least one support section aligned along a plane of motion for the human limb or aligned along a meridian proximate to the joint. The main section is formed with larger holes throughout and the support section is formed with smaller holes, the smaller holes providing an increased volume of material that supports and stabilizes the underlying joint in the direction of movement affected by the injury or arthritis.

A blister protector sticker that adheres to and protects an individual's foot, including a base layer of closed cell polyvinyl chloride foam, an adhesive layer of hypoallergenic acrylate adhesive operatively attached thereto, and a removable layer removably attached to the adhesive layer, the blister protector sticker having a shape that protects and shields a portion of skin of a foot from blisters. A method of protecting an individual's foot from blisters and irritation, by removing a removable layer from the blister protector sticker, attaching the adhesive layer of the blister protector sticker to an area of skin of an individual's foot at risk of blister formation or irritation, and protecting the area of skin covered by the blister protector sticker from forming a blister or irritation.

A compression knit part composed of a compression knit including a first ground thread and a second ground thread, wherein the first ground thread is composed at least at its surface of a manufactured polyamide fiber that accepts a first dye but not a second dye, and the second ground thread is composed at least at its surface of a manufactured polyester fiber which accepts the second dye but not the first, and a weft thread configured as compression thread.

The present invention relates to a pad for Achilles tendon bandages or orthoses, to an Achilles tendon bandage or orthosis which has a pad according to the invention, and to the use of a pad according to the invention for draining lymphatic fluid and for relieving the Achilles tendon.

The invention provides an adhesive support article for supporting a body part of a user. A single-sided stretchable adhesive tape blank is precut into a sheet having a central anchoring portion and a plurality of outwardly extending fingers. The sheet is marked with visual indicators to guide the user of the support article for applying the central anchoring portion onto a first exterior surface of the body part and for stretching the fingers before adhering them at a predetermined distance away from the central anchoring portion. The adhesive support article can also be provided in a support system with at least one corresponding body landmark article, providing further guidance for applying the support article to the desired body part.
