Compression foot garment, and therapeutic method for reducing heel pain
A compression foot garment is integrally knit of a body yarn, and adapted for wear on a foot of a user. The foot garment incorporates first and second high compression zones, and a compression release zone between the high compression zones. The first high compression zone is adapted for applying substantially circumferential compression to the foot below the plantar fascia between the calcaneus and metatarso-phalangeal joints and generally around the midfoot. The second high compression zone is adapted for applying substantially circumferential compression to the foot above the calcaneus and generally around an ankle of the user. The first and second high compression zones may comprise elastic yarns integrated with the body yarn. The compression release zone is adapted for applying reduced compression to the foot in an area between the first and second high compression zones.
Wound dressing
The present disclosure relates generally to tubular wound dressings that include a superabsorbent component that can be used to treat exuding wounds. The tubular wound dressings may include a superabsorbent component sandwiched between two tubular elastic and resilient components. Alternatively, the dressing may be concentrically arranged to include at least three components, including a superabsorbent component, and two elastic and resilient components. Also disclosed herein are kits including the tubular wound dressings of the present technology, and instructions for use.
Self-adhesive elastic bandage that can be used, in particular, for the treatment and prevention of diseases of the veins
A self-adhesive compression bandage, in particular for the treatment and prevention of pathologies of venous origin and lymphedema. This bandage is manufactured by the assembling of two self-adhesive nonwovens based on short conjugate fibers which have been crimped. The fibers are preferably made of polyester. The bandage can in addition comprise a supplementary layer.
Elastic bandage having improved compression properties
A compression bandage that is formed by the assembling of a self-adhesive nonwoven based on short conjugate fibers which have been crimped and of an elastic material, the effectiveness of which increases over time. The bandage can be used, alone or in a bilayer compression system, for the prevention or treatment of venous pathologies or lymphedema.
Elastic bandage that can be used, in particular, for the treatment and prevention of vein diseases
A compression bandage formed by the assembling of a nonwoven based on short conjugate fibers which have been crimped and of a nonelastic material. The compression bandage can be used in a bilayer compression system, in particular for the prevention or treatment of venous pathologies.
Inflatable pads biker shorts
A bicycle shorts system includes a bicycle shorts having a waist section configured to fit around a waist area of the user; a first leg section and a second leg section integral with and secured to the waist section; and a padded area having a material extending from the first leg section to the second leg section, the padded area forming a cavity. The system further includes a liquid filling assembly having a first liquid chamber carried by the first leg section; and a second liquid chamber carried by the second leg section. The method includes filling the first liquid chamber and the second liquid chamber.
Wound care article for extraction and control of wound fluids
The subject of the invention is a wound care article for extraction and control of wound fluids, comprising at least one first fluid-absorbing structure (1; 10; 36), which is surrounded by a liquid-permeable, first enclosure (2), and a liquid-permeable, second enclosure (3) comprising two enclosing surfaces (13.1, 13.2). The wound care article is thus characterized in that the first enclosure (2) is covered or supported on at least one of its flat sides (4.1, 4.2) by at least one fluid-absorbing material layer (6.1, 6.2; 6.3), which is arranged (FIG. 1a) between the first enclosure (2) and one of the enclosing surfaces (13.1, 13.2) of the second enclosure (3).
PRESSURE RELIEF APPARATUS FOR WOUND
A pressure relief apparatus is provided for a wound on a patient body. The pressure relief apparatus includes a pliable body including a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface. The first surface contacts with the patient body. Further, the pliable body defines an aperture that is sized to surround the wound. The pliable body is made of a washable foam material. The pressure relief apparatus further includes at least one fastening member attached to the pliable body, wherein the at least one fastening member detachably secures the pliable body to a portion of the patient body.
Disinfecting wound dressing and process for preparing such
A process for preparing a disinfecting wound dressing for the protection of wounds, such as burn wounds, ulcers and cuts, the process comprising the steps of providing a yarn-based substrate, subjecting a surface of the substrate to a plasma environment, thereby providing non-leaching and biocidal features to the substrate surface by exposing the substrate surface to an antimicrobial active compound reaction.
Inflatable pads biker shorts
A bicycle shorts system includes a bicycle shorts having a waist section configured to fit around a waist area of the user; a first leg section and a second leg section integral with and secured to the waist section; and a padded area forming a seat section having a material extending from the first leg section to the second leg section, the padded area forming a cavity. The system further includes two air inflation assembly chambers located in the seat section, the first air chamber carried by the first leg section and a second air chamber carried by the second leg section in the seat section. The method includes inflating the first and second air chambers in the seat section.
