Compression garment comprising spacer fabric and hook fastener
11351066 · 2022-06-07 · ·

A compression garment includes a spacer fabric part (1) with an inner layer (2) and an outer layer. The compression garment further includes a closing part (4) with at least one macroscopic hook (5). If a user dons the compression garment, the spacer fabric part (1) and/or the closing part (4) has to be stretched to generate the compression force and the stretching is maintained by attaching the closing part (4) to the spacer fabric part (1) by hooking the at least one macroscopic hook (5) into the mesh of the outer layer of the spacer fabric part (1).

Compression sleeve

Compression sleeve (1) for application circumferentially around a human limb (10) to exert therapeutic pressure on the limb. The compression sleeve has a fabric (80), which comprises viscoelastic strands (90) for providing the fabric with viscoelastic properties.

Compression garment having enhanced strap configuration

A low-elastic compression garment includes a central main portion and multiple straps that extend laterally from the central main portion. Notches may be provided where the straps meet the central main portion, and may be formed into the central main portion adjacent to respective straps. With the notches, when the compression garment is in a wrapped position, lateral edges of adjacent straps that are associated with the notches overlap without gaps or bunching of the strap material. The compression garment may include distal and proximal counter pull tabs that extend from opposite edges of the central main portion. When the distal and proximal counter pull tabs are pulled by the user, pulling forces are transmitted in opposing directions to tension the straps. A removable fastening tab is provided respectively at ends of each of the straps. The fastening tabs are repositionable at different locations on the straps, resulting in a compression garment that is both reversible and easily sized for a customized fit.

COMPRESSION GARMENT APPARATUS

This disclosure relates to compression garments, specifically to compression garments to promote lymphatic circulation and/or circulation of other bodily fluids. The garments can include compression actuator units that can apply a pull force on a strap of the compression garment to apply compression to an anatomical feature of the user. The compression actuator units can be actuated via contraction of a wire made of shape memory material. The compression actuator units can include a plurality of levers to amplify the effect of the contraction of the wire to provide a wide range of compressive forces to the user.

Reduction kits

Customizable garments and kits, including uses thereof, having adaptations for ease of positioning for providing therapeutic compression such as compression therapy for the treatment of circulatory disorders such as Lymphedema and Venous Disease.

Compression garment

A first section encompasses an extremity of a wearer. The compression garment has a front, a back, a left side, a right side, a top, a bottom, an interior, and an exterior. A primary fastener separably couples and uncouples an opening in the garment. An adjustment assembly has a left tensioner with secondary fasteners and a right tensioner with secondary fasteners. A plurality of left apertures are adjacent to the left tensioner. A plurality of right apertures are adjacent to the right tensioner. Each of a plurality of cords has a left end coupled to the left tensioner and a right end coupled to an associated right tensioner. Each of the plurality of cords passes through associated left and right apertures.

WRAP COMPRESSION SYSTEM

A compression appliance includes a textile-based wrap, an electronic assembly, and wiring comprising a single wire looped through the length of the wrap. The wiring comprises shape changing materials that are used to apply controllable intermittent sequential compression or constriction pressure to a body portion of a person when the compression appliance is wrapped around the body portion. The appliance can incorporate a pre-tensioning element that applies a known initial tension to the shape changing material prior to activation of a compression cycle. The wire can be then actuated according to a compression protocol to sequentially contract and release the wire. The proposed wiring and component configuration will need access to lower power and a reduced volume of hardware as compared to conventional compression appliances.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR APPLYING PRESSURE TO A MAMMALIAN LIMB
20230277388 · 2023-09-07 ·

A therapeutic pressure band for applying pressure across a muscle or muscle groups on a mammalian limb is described. The band is particularly well suited for treating “shin splints.” The band includes a plurality of straps that are connected together via a connecting material. Ends of each of the straps have adjustable fasteners for securing and tightening the band around a limb. The band also possesses a plurality of pressure members (e.g., elongated rubber tubes) that apply separate and discrete areas or points of pressure in a line across a muscle, tendon, bone, or muscle group and generally perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the limb.

An apparatus for treating venous insufficiency is disclosed. The apparatus includes a plurality of actuator assemblies receivable on a limb of a user. The actuator assemblies include: a flexible element including a body portion and two opposing end portions. The body portion is configured to at least partly extend around an outer periphery of the limb. An actuator is coupled to the opposing end portions and configured to selectively reduce a distance between the two end portions to compress the limb.
