SENSOR FOR AGRICULTURAL PLANTER CLOSING WHEEL
A sensor system on the closing wheels of an agricultural planter detects rotational speed of the closing wheels, and generates a signal corresponding to the rotational speed. If the speed is below an optimum or preset speed, the operator is notified that the wheels are not rotating properly or have stopped rotating, thereby indicating improper closing of the seed furrow after the seed is planted in the furrow. A sensor system provides a method of monitoring the function of the closing wheels and generating a signal corresponding to the rotational status of the closing wheels.

TORQUE AND ANGLE SENSING DEVICE
Aspects of this disclosure relate to a torque and angle sensing device. A sensor and a processing circuit are integrated into the device. The sensor is configured to generate a first signal indicative of a first angle and/or speed. The device includes an input contact configured to receive a second reference signal indicative of a second reference angle and/or speed. The processing circuit is configured to generate an indication of torque based on at least the first signal and the second signal. In certain applications, the processing circuit is capable of pre-programming and/or learning and storing the reference information and generating an indication of torque based on the first signal generated internally and the reference information. An output contact of the device can provide the indication of torque. Related systems and methods are also disclosed.

Aspects of this disclosure relate to a torque and angle sensing device. A sensor and a processing circuit are integrated into the device. The sensor is configured to generate a first signal indicative of a first angle and/or speed. The device includes an input contact configured to receive a second reference signal indicative of a second reference angle and/or speed. The processing circuit is configured to generate an indication of torque based on at least the first signal and the second signal. In certain applications, the processing circuit is capable of pre-programming and/or learning and storing the reference information and generating an indication of torque based on the first signal generated internally and the reference information. The sensor system includes at least one sensor wheel, which is connectable to the rotating element, the sensor wheel having a sensor wheel profile. The sensor system also includes at least one position sensor and at least one phase sensor. The sensor system further includes at least one digital interface and at least one incremental interface, the sensor system being configured to output at least one absolute position signal generated with the aid of the position sensor via the digital interface and to output at least one incremental signal generated with the aid of the phase sensor via the incremental interface.

A pole wheel is provided. The pole wheel can be mounted on a brake disk of a vehicle wheel brake. The pole wheel has apertures which are uniformly distributed over its circumference and which are spaced apart from one another by radial webs. The pole wheel has an axially protruding bulge radially above its apertures and radial webs.

Hybrid feedback device
A feedback device is coupled to rotate with a rotating component of an aircraft engine. The feedback device comprises a body having cavities defined therein and circumferentially spaced thereabout, each cavity configured to receive therein a position marker, the body made of a non-ferromagnetic material and the position markers comprising a ferromagnetic material. A sealing member is configured to be secured to the body for retaining the position markers within the cavities. At least one sensor is positioned adjacent the feedback device and configured for producing, as the feedback device rotates about a longitudinal axis with the rotating component, at least one sensor signal in response to detecting passage of the position markers. A processing unit is communicatively coupled to the at least one sensor and configured to determine a rotational speed of the rotating component from the at least one sensor signal received from the at least one sensor.
Hybrid feedback device
A feedback device is coupled to rotate with a rotating component of an aircraft engine. The feedback device comprises a body having cavities defined therein and circumferentially spaced thereabout, each cavity configured to receive therein a position marker, the body made of a non-ferromagnetic material and the position markers comprising a ferromagnetic material. A sealing member is configured to be secured to the body for retaining the position markers within the cavities. At least one sensor is positioned adjacent the feedback device and configured for producing, as the feedback device rotates about a longitudinal axis with the rotating component, at least one sensor signal in response to detecting passage of the position markers. A processing unit is communicatively coupled to the at least one sensor and configured to determine a rotational speed of the rotating component from the at least one sensor signal received from the at least one sensor.
