Method and systems for testing an electrical circuit
Various methods and systems are provided for an electrical testing apparatus for an electrical panel and associated wiring harness. In one embodiment, an electrical testing apparatus includes a common housing; a first connector tethered to the housing via a first plurality of wires extending away from and coupled within the housing, where the first connector is adapted to connect to an electrical panel; a second connector mounted to the housing and adapted to connect to a wiring harness of the electrical panel, the wiring harness including a second plurality of wires; and a third connector mounted to the housing and including a plurality of test points for testing an electrical signal passing through each wire of the second plurality of wires.
TESTING INTERPOSER METHOD AND APPARATUS
The disclosure describes a novel method and apparatus for improving silicon interposers to include test circuitry for testing stacked die mounted on the interposer. The improvement allows for the stacked die to be selectively tested by an external tester or by the test circuitry included in the interposer.
Contact
A contact includes a first terminal including a plurality of arms; a second terminal; a spring connecting the arms to the second terminal; and a casing covering the spring, wherein the arms outwardly protrude from one end of the casing, wherein an interval between the arms increases from a side of the casing to front edges of the arms, wherein when the arms are pushed toward the casing the arms are retracted into the casing and contact an inner side of the casing so that the interval between the arms decreases.
Meter socket adaptor
This disclosure pertains to methods and apparatus for interfacing an onsite power generation system with an existing main electric panel. The interfacing is performed by: attaching an additional jaw connector to a neutral bridge within an existing meter socket; wiring AC supply lines from the onsite power generation system to load side jaws of a multi-blade meter socket adapter; and wiring a neutral line from the onsite power generation system to an additional terminal of the meter socket adapter. The lines from the onsite power generation system are routed through an opening formed in the meter socket adapter. The meter socket adapter is then inserted into the meter socket so that five jaws in the socket receive all five blades of the meter socket adapter. The blades of the meter are then plugged into the jaws on the opposite end of the meter socket adapter.
TESTING OF SEMICONDUCTOR CHIPS WITH MICROBUMPS
A device includes a test pad on a chip. A first microbump has a first surface area that is less than a surface area of the test pad. A first conductive path couples the test pad to the first microbump. A second microbump has a second surface area that is less than the surface area of the test pad. A second conductive path couples the test pad to the second microbump.
UNIVERSAL MATE-IN CABLE INTERFACE SYSTEM
There is described an assembly for connecting a test unit to a wiring harness or equipment to be tested, and a method for testing using the assembly. The assembly may comprise a test box unit, a generic mate-in interface, and at least one specific mate-in interface. Each one of the generic and specific mate-in interfaces has an ID comprised in an ID support on the electrical path of the generic mate-in interface and the specific mate-in interface, for example, on any one of the end connectors of the interfaces or on their wiring. Information relating to the IDs of the mate-in interfaces and the contact configuration of each mate-in interface is stored in a database of the test unit for identifying the appropriate test contacts that should be used for testing.
System for measuring contact force in a utility meter
The present disclosure relates to a system and method for evaluating the adequacy of a connection between a utility line and a utility meter. In one embodiment, a force sensing unit is disposed between a first half and a second half of a first terminal of the utility meter and is configured to measure a contact force between the first terminal and a socket jaw.
TEST POINT ADAPTOR FOR COAXIAL CABLE CONNECTIONS
A test point adaptor for coaxial cables includes a main body, a test body, and a cap. The main body has a first longitudinal axis and includes a first end comprising a first interface, a second end comprising a second interface, and a first center conductor extending at least from the first interface to the second interface. The test body has a second longitudinal axis arranged transversely to the main body and includes an outer conductive sleeve, a test body end comprising a third interface, an electrically conductive contact member in electrical contact with the first center conductor, and a gripping arrangement electrically coupled with the electrically conductive contact member. The third interface includes a conical contact surface of the outer conductive sleeve. The cap includes a sleeve configured to matingly engage an outer surface of the outer conductive sleeve. The outer conductive sleeve includes a conical contact surface configured to engage the conical contact surface of the outer conductive sleeve when the cap is matingly engaged with the outer sleeve. The cap includes a terminator configured to be aligned with and received by the gripping arrangement, which electrically couples the terminator to the electrically conductive contact member.
Method for supplying fieldbus communication and power from a handheld maintenance tool in a hazardous area using a single lead set
A connector assembly for a portable field device testing includes a two-wire communication line to provide communication between a handheld maintenance tool and a field device, a first two-prong plug to provide power and communication signals to the field device and a shunt plug to provide power to the field device using the two-wire communication line.
Membrane probe card
An apparatus includes a membrane film and a plurality of needle tips with cylinder shapes. The membrane film includes a plurality of signal traces. The needle tips are disposed on the membrane film and are electrically connected to the signal traces. The needle tips are configured to probe a device-under-test (DUT).
