Support for body portion
A variety of body supports are disclosed for supporting a body portion, for example, for supporting a chest in a donned configuration. In some examples, the body support includes a first support panel having one or more first tongues projecting outwardly therefrom, a second support panel having one or more second tongues projecting outwardly therefrom, a connecting section, joining the first support panel to said second support panel in longitudinal spaced relationship along an imaginary longitudinal mid-line of the body support, the first tongue and the second tongue being on opposite transverse sides of a mid-line of the body support, a first fastener and a second fastener. The body support may further include a doffed configuration in which the first support panel and the second support panel are non-contiguous with respect to one another.
MEDICAL DEVICE FOR POSTOPERATIVE COMPRESSION FOLLOWING BREAST RECONSTRUCTION SURGERY
A device for postoperative compression of breast skin following breast reconstruction surgery includes a female garment that supports the breast, and wherein each cup of the garment contains inflatable modules with defined pressure gradients that generate different compressive orthogonal vectors on the four quadrants of the breast, leaving the areola-nipple complex free. The inflatable tubular modules have a shape resembling a truncated cone with variable thickness that is minimum in the area closest to the areola-nipple complex, and maximum in the area furthest away from the areola-nipple complex. The inflatable modules can be inflated separately. The device is made up of non-elastic tissue preventing the cups from moving away from breast skin when air chambers are inflated, and includes two non-elastic tissue straps that cross on the spine and close on the front. In the two sub-axillary areas, a Velcro clasp allows operation even when postoperative drainage is in place.
NEGATIVE-PRESSURE WOUND THERAPY DRESSING WITH ZONE OF AMBIENT PRESSURE
Disclosed embodiments may relate to dressings configured to provide negative-pressure wound therapy to a tissue site, while simultaneously shielding a portion of the tissue site from the negative pressure. For example, dressing assembly embodiments may comprise an outer dressing configured for applying negative-pressure wound therapy to a tissue site, and an underlying isolation patch configured for use under the outer dressing. The isolation patch may be configured to seal the portion of the tissue site so that it does not experience the negative pressure. Additionally disclosed are other apparatus, dressings, systems, and methods.
Therapeutic support for being worn by a subject
A flexible therapeutic support (32, 35, 40, 48, 54) for the prophylaxis or treatment of the accumulation of a fluid in the body of a subject. The therapeutic support has a plurality of protruberances (14) for respectively applying localised pressure to an area of the subject's body with, or subject to, accumulation of the fluid, the support being configured to be worn by the subject over the area and press the protruberances (14) against the body of the subject, and the protruberances being spaced apart from one another about the face (12) of the support. There are also provided methods for the prophylaxis or treatment of the accumulation of a fluid in the subject's body. The accumulated fluid can, for instance, be lymphoedema or other form of oedema.
Absorbent negative-pressure dressing system for use with post-surgical breast wounds
A system for providing negative-pressure therapy to breast tissue is disclosed. In some embodiments, the system may include a dressing assembly shaped for placement on a breast, an absorbent pouch, and a negative-pressure source. The system may further include an additional dressing assembly for placement on a second breast. Various shapes and configurations of the breast dressing assemblies may be included in the system.
BANDAGE DEVICE AND METHODS OF USE AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF
A device comprising: a breast bandage hosting a cup portion, a reservoir portion, a gauze portion, and an adhesive portion, wherein the cup portion hosts the reservoir portion, wherein the gauze portion extends about the reservoir portion, wherein the adhesive portion is external to the reservoir portion.
METHOD AND DEVICES FOR TISSUE EXPANSION
A device for maintaining or achieving soft tissue expansion applicable to any body region already temporarily expanded including: an adhesive element deformable and capable of adapting to the shape of this body region, and which can then itself become mechanically rigid enough to resist tendency of the expanded tissue to recoil or to which a second material can be applied to form a stent adapted to the shape of the body area to provide the necessary structural rigidity to prevent recoil of the expansion and thereby induce its retention of its expanded shape after the stent is removed.
Bra liners
Bra liner including a substantially planar body including a left triangular portion, a right triangular portion and a central portion between the left and right triangular portions. The central portion includes a flap separated from the left and right triangular portions and optionally one or more apertures. The left and right triangular portions also optionally include one or more apertures. The flap is foldable about a center line of the body. The body includes absorbent material. To form the left and right triangular portions, an elongate slit is present between the central portion and each of the left and right triangular portions. The slits extend downward from an upper edge of the body and inward toward the center line.
AN ABSORBENT NEGATIVE-PRESSURE DRESSING SYSTEM FOR USE WITH POST-SURGICAL BREAST WOUNDS
WOUND THERAPY DEVICE, KIT, AND METHOD FOR IMPROVED APPLICATION TO WOUNDS ON COMPLEX GEOMETRIES
A negative pressure wound therapy device, kit, and method are provided for improved treatment of wounds on complex three-dimensional anatomies. The device includes a conformable manifold made of a porous and permeable material with a pattern of cuts designed to transform the manifold from a relaxed, planar state to a pliable three-dimensional state when extended along the lateral axis. The kit further may include a wound interface layer, an adhesive, breathable drape, and a pneumatic connection to a negative pressure wound therapy device. Finally, a method for treating wounds using reduced pressure and the presently disclosed kit is provided.
