The left and right triangular portions also optionally include one or more apertures. The flap is foldable about a center line of the body. The body includes absorbent material. To form the left and right triangular portions, an elongate slit is present between the central portion and each of the left and right triangular portions. The slits extend downward from an upper edge of the body and inward toward the center line.

Disclosed herein are devices and methods for protecting reconstructed nipples, typically post-surgery. The nipple protector may include a circular base portion and an annular ridge concentrically disposed to define a central aperture. The nipple protector In may further include an adhesive layer disposed on a bottom surface of the base portion for adhering the nipple protector to an area surrounding the reconstructed nipple. The nipple protector is fashioned to allow for direct access to the new nipple, which facilitates application of antibiotic ointments. The nipple protector softly adheres to the skin to provide flexible, adherent, comfortable, and water tolerant usage.

A brace for retaining an organ in an expanded state configured to adhere and substantially conform to an external surface of the organ includes an inner layer, an outer layer, and at least one sheet of thin malleable material forming a middle layer between the inner layer and outer layer, the at least one sheet being enclosed and configured to rigidify and maintain the organ in an expanded state upon application of a vacuum. The brace can be incorporated into a brassiere.
