HF COIL ASSEMBLY
An HF coil assembly for generating independent alternating magnetic fields in an examination volume of a magnetic resonance apparatus is presented, the HF coil assembly comprising a first coil pair of saddle coils and a second coil pair of saddle coils, each saddle coil having longitudinal conductor elements and curved conductor elements arranged along a common lateral surface of a circular cylinder having a cylinder axis. Each coil pair comprises curved conductor elements and longitudinal conductor elements which are interconnected at a high frequency. The saddle coils also have diagonal conductor elements and/or bridge elements that connect the longitudinal and curved conductor elements. The coil pairs are opposite to each other relative to the cylinder axis.
Differential Directional Coupler, Signal Conversion System and Method for Converting a Differential Input Signal
In accordance with an embodiment, a differential directional coupler includes a first coupler having a first transformer comprising a first input coil and a first output coil, and a second coupler having a second transformer comprising a second input coil and a second output coil. The first input coil and the second input coil each include an input port, the first transformer at least partially covers the second transformer in a top view from a vertical direction onto the differential directional coupler, and the first input coil and the second input coil are configured to be mirror symmetric with respect to one another in the top view with respect to their input ports.
PATIENT COUCH WITH FLEXIBLE RF TRANSMITTING POWER DISTRIBUTION FOR A MAGNETIC RESONANCE TOMOGRAPHY SYSTEM
A patient couch for a magnetic resonance tomography system and a magnetic resonance tomography system are provided. The patient couch includes a feed facility for radiofrequency energy having a plurality of conduction paths for feeding radiofrequency energy. The patient couch also includes a plurality of plug-in connectors for local coils having a transmit coil, and a distribution structure for the distribution of radiofrequency energy from the feed facility to the plug-in connectors.
Device and method for active local suppression of reception in magnetic resonance recordings
A magnetic resonance tomography scanner with a noise suppressor for suppressing interferences of reception and a method for operation of the magnetic resonance tomography scanner are provided. The noise suppressor receives an interference signal with a sensor, determines a noise suppression signal with a noise suppression controller, and sends the noise suppression signal using a controllable radio frequency amplifier via a transmit antenna, so that the interference signal on a receive antenna of the magnetic resonance tomography scanner is reduced.

MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR SETTING RF SHIMMING PARAMETERS
In order to improve B1 non-homogeneity while reducing a local SAR in an object, particularly, in a human tissue during MR imaging, the present invention is characterized in that each of a plurality of irradiation channels is controlled on the basis of RF shimming parameters corresponding to the plurality of irradiation channels, and, in a case of performing imaging sequence of irradiating an object with an RF magnetic field, there is the use of the RF shimming parameters obtained by imposing a constraint condition on at least one of a plurality of principal components obtained through principal component analysis on the RF shimming parameters.
Cable Arrangement for Use in a Magnetic Resonance Local Coil
An antenna of a cable arrangement is provided for use in an MR local coil. An MR local coil with such a cable arrangement and a method for producing such a cable arrangement are provided. The cable arrangement includes an electrical conductor, which may have a material with a high electrical conductivity, such as copper for instance. The cable arrangement, in particular the electrical conductor, is embodied in a wavelike manner (e.g., the cable arrangement has a waveform).
Real-time methods for magnetic resonance spectra acquisition
The invention pertains to advances in real-time methods in nuclear magnetic resonance by offering a new dual-frequency dynamic nuclear polarization (DNP) method that uses a microwave beam to polarize the spins of electrons and concomitantly act as a NMR transmitter.
ACCESSORY KIT FOR INTERVENTIONAL PROCEDURES USING MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING
An accessory kit is provided for interventional procedures using a magnetic resonance imaging scanner. The accessory kit includes a patient support and an electrical connection adapter. The patient support has a first end proximal and a second end distal to the scanner. The distal end is configured to create a space to accommodate a clinician, such as narrowing of the distal end or at least one cutout on a side of the distal end. The electrical connection adapter interfaces with the scanner and a scanner table. The accessory kit is configured so that when the proximal end is extended into the scanner bore, the distal end extends outside the bore. The narrowed width and/or cutout(s) of the exposed distal end and the extended gap between the scanner and scanner table create space on at least one side of the patient support that a clinician may use to access a patient.
Systems for a radio frequency coil for MR imaging
Various methods and systems are provided for a flexible, lightweight and low-cost stretchable radio frequency (RF) coil of a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system. In one example, a RF coil assembly for a MRI system includes a loop portion comprising distributed capacitance conductor wires, a coupling electronics portion including a pre-amplifier; and a stretchable material to which the loop portion and coupling electronics portion are attached and/or enclosed therein.
