APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING ABSORBENT BED PADS OR ABSORBENT PET MATS
An apparatus for producing absorbent bed pads, or absorbent pet mats, having an absorbent core with a support layer and absorbent fibres arranged on a first surface of the support layer. The apparatus includes, in sequence along an advancing direction of a support layer strip, a preparation station, a deposition station downstream of the preparation station and a forming station downstream of the deposition station. The preparation station includes first folding members configured to fold opposite longitudinal flaps of the support layer strip over a service surface of the support layer strip. The deposition station includes a deposition device configured to deposit the absorbent fibres on a deposition surface of the support layer strip opposite the service surface. The forming station includes second folding members configured to fold the longitudinal flaps of the support layer strip over the deposition surface. A method that can be carried out by the apparatus.
Canine diaper assembly
A canine diaper assembly includes a band that is wearable around a canine's body. The band is constructed of a fluid impermeable material to inhibit urine of the canine from passing through the band. A first tab is coupled to and extends away from the band and a second tab is coupled to and extends away from the band. The second tab is matable to the first tab for retaining the band in a closed loop around the canine's body. An absorbent pad is integrated into the band to absorb urine from the canine. A reactive strip is integrated into the band and the reactive strip is comprised of a material which chemically reacts to urine. The reactive strip changes colors when the reactive strip is exposed to urine to visually communicate that the canine has urinated into the absorbent pad.
Cat diaper
A cat diaper has a lateral direction along a waistline of a cat and a longitudinal direction orthogonal to the lateral direction, and includes: a body portion that includes an absorbent core, and has a stomach region, a crotch region, and a back region, and a fastening tape that extends from each side of the body portion in the lateral direction, and joins the stomach region and the back region, the absorbent core having a constricted portion that tapers toward an inner side of the absorbent core in the lateral direction, and a stomach-side end of an innermost edge of the constricted portion in the lateral direction being positioned between a center of the absorbent core in the longitudinal direction and a back side of the cat diaper.
Wound dressing
The invention relates to a wound dressing device for securing a dressing in position on a wound, wherein the wound dressing device comprises: a retaining device for encompassing a portion of the body; a dressing, and; a fastening element that can secure the dressing in position. The fastening element being configured at least substantially external to the retaining device, the dressing being configured at least substantially internal to the retaining device, such that the dressing can be secured to the fastening element through the retaining device. The invention also relates to a method of applying the device and to a combined dressing and fastening element.
