TAMPON WITH NATURALLY HYDROPHOBIC COMPONENTS
A tampon comprising an absorbent pledget and a withdrawal cord attached to the pledget is disclosed. The withdrawal cord may be constituted predominantly (by weight) of natural plant fiber such as cotton, and comprise no more than 5 percent by weight material derived from petroleum, while exhibiting limiting wicking capability. A method for manufacturing tampons with withdrawal cords including cotton fiber is disclosed, including a scouring step in which the scouring solution is of relatively lower pH than is conventional for scouring cotton, is disclosed.
Article comprising energy curable ink
A nonwoven substrate has a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface. The first surface may include one or more printed portions, wherein at least one printed portion has a curable ink. Said printed portion may exhibit a Crosslinking Index of about 330 or less as determined by the Crosslinking Index Test Method herein and an IAR (Mineral Oil) of 1.30 or greater as determined by the IAR Test Method herein.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE
A disposable absorbent article is described. The disposable absorbent article has a topsheet; a backsheet; and an absorbent system disposed therebetween. The absorbent system has an absorbent core having longitudinal side edges on opposite sides of the absorbent core and end edges on opposite sides of the absorbent core. The absorbent core is disposed in an absorbent core zone. The absorbent article also has an outer periphery formed at least in part by a portion of the topsheet and a portion of the backsheet; an outer boundary zone including the outer periphery. The absorbent article also has an inner boundary zone disposed between the outer boundary zone and the absorbent core zone in a rear portion of the absorbent article. There is a visible difference between the absorbent core zone and the inner boundary zone as well as the absorbent core zone and the outer boundary zone.
Absorbent article with color matched surfaces
A disposable absorbent article comprising a front waist region, a rear waist region, and a crotch region, wherein said absorbent article further comprises at least three discrete elements each comprising at least one visible surface; wherein at least three or more of the visible surfaces comprise an imparted color wherein said colors are color matched. Color matching exists when said colors are contained within a specified CIELab color space volume, have a specified hue difference, or total color difference.
STRETCHABLE MEMBER AND DISPOSABLE WEARABLE ARTICLE HAVING STRETCHABLE MEMBER
A stretchable member has a second sheet layer with an exposed portion, first sheet layer, and elastic sheet interposed therebetween. The second and the first sheet layers are joined at multiple sheet joining portions arranged at intervals through joining holes penetrating the elastic sheet or via the elastic sheet, and vent holes each opened at least in a spread state by displacement of the edge of each joining hole away from the circumferential edge of each sheet joining portion in the stretchable direction ED. The colors of the external surface of the elastic sheet and of portions of the external surface of the first sheet layer observed through the vent holes are observable through the second sheet layer, and the color difference ΔE between the colors of the external surface of the elastic sheet and of the external surface of the first sheet layer is 30 or more.
ABSORBENT ARTICLES WITH PATTERNED FRONT EARS
An absorbent article comprises a front waist region, a back waist region, a liquid permeable topsheet, a liquid impermeable backsheet, and an absorbent core positioned at least partially intermediate the topsheet and the backsheet. The absorbent core may comprise an absorbent material. The absorbent article may comprise a pair of back ears in the back waist region and a pair of front ears in the front waist region. The front ears may comprise a pattern. The pattern may comprise three-dimensional features and/or visually distinguishable zones.
Apparatuses and methods for making absorbent articles
The present disclosure relates to printing graphics onto advancing substrates in diaper converting lines, wherein first graphics having relatively low print resolutions and second graphics having relatively high print resolutions may be both printed onto advancing substrates. During the assembly process, localized speed variances may be imparted to the advancing substrates to achieve the different print resolutions. In some configurations, first graphics with relatively low print resolutions may be printed onto the substrate while advancing at relatively high speeds, and second graphics with relatively high print resolutions may be printed onto portions of the substrate that have been temporarily stopped or slowed to relatively slow speed. The printed substrates may then be incorporated into assembled diapers so as place the graphics in desired positions on the diapers.
Absorbent Article Having A Graphic Visible Through Body Contacting Surface
An absorbent article having a body contacting surface a garment contacting surface; and an absorbent core disposed therebetween is disclosed. The garment contacting surface has a garment contacting layer with a plurality of graphic elements. A circumferential edge of the article truncates a portion of the plurality of graphic elements.
ABSORBENT ARTICLES WITH COLOR EFFECTS
Disposable absorbent articles having color effects and materials thereof are disclosed. Disposable absorbent articles include a topsheet; a backsheet; an absorbent core between the topsheet and the backsheet; and a layer between the absorbent core and the topsheet. The topsheet has a generally planar first surface having a plurality of out-of-plane features and a first color. The layer has a second color. And, the plurality of out-of-plane features have a feature color different than the first color and the second color.
APPARATUSES AND METHODS FOR MAKING ABSORBENT ARTICLES WITH LOW INTENSITY SIDE SEAM REGIONS
The present disclosure relates to absorbent articles and methods for assembling absorbent articles with substrates and/or components that include graphics with zones of relatively high print densities and zones of relatively low print densities. In turn, the zones of relatively low print densities may be positioned in regions that are subject to various manufacturing transformations during the assembly process. As such, the graphics may be positioned and/or printed in such a manner so as to reduce noticeable visible results of imprecise and/or inconsistent manufacturing operations performed in areas where the graphics are located.
