Serial interface for parameter transfer in an ultrasound device
Circuitry for ultrasound devices is described. A multi-level pulser is described, which can support time-domain and spatial apodization. The multi-level pulser may be controlled through a software-defined waveform generator. In response to the execution of a computer code, the waveform generator may access master segments from a memory, and generate a stream of packets directed to pulsing circuits. The stream of packets may be serialized. A plurality of decoding circuits may modulate the streams of packets to obtain spatial apodization.
ULTRASOUND IMAGING APPARATUS WITH IMAGE SELECTOR
An ultrasound imaging system includes a cine buffer in which image frames produced during an examination are stored. A processor is programmed to select one or more image frames from the cine buffer for presentation to an operator for approval and inclusion in a patient record or other report. The operator can accept the proposed image frames or can select one or more other image frames from the cine buffer. The processor may select image frames at spaced intervals in the cine buffer for presentation. Alternatively, the processor compares image frames in the cine buffer with one or more target image frames. Image frames that are similar to the target image frames are presented to the operator to confirm. Alternatively, image frames can be selected by the processor that contain a specific feature or that are similar to image frames that were previously selected by the operator when performing a particular type of examination.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ULTRASOUND BEAMFORMING
A system for ultrasound beamforming is provided, including a sampled analog beamformer, an array of ultrasound transducers, and a high voltage amplifier coupled to the sampled analog beamformer and the array of ultrasound transducers. The sampled analog beamformer includes a sampled analog filter for filtering an incoming analog signal and adding a fractional delay, and transmitting a filtered analog ultrasound signal. The array of ultrasound transducers further transmits the filtered analog ultrasound signal. The high voltage amplifier drives transducers in the array of ultrasound transducers.
HIGH VOLUME RATE 3D ULTRASONIC DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING
A 3D ultrasonic diagnostic imaging system produces 3D display images at a 3D frame rate of display which is equal to the acquisition rate of a 3D image dataset. The volumetric region being imaged is sparsely sub-sampled by separated scanning beams. Spatial locations between the beams are filled in with interpolated values or interleaved with acquired data values from other 3D scanning intervals depending upon the existence of motion in the image field. A plurality of different beam scanning patterns are used, different ones of which have different spatial locations where beams are located and beams are omitted. In a preferred embodiment the determination of motion and the consequent decision to use interpolated or interleaved data for display is determined on a pixel-by-pixel basis.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR BEAMFORNING ULTRASOUND SIGNALS USING ELASTIC INTERPOLATION
A method in accordance with the present disclosure may include transmitting an ultrasound pulse toward a medium from a transducer array (305), detecting a plurality of echo signals (313a, 313c, 313e) responsive to the ultrasound pulse using one or more elements of the transducer array (305), generating an interpolated signal (313b, 313d) by interpolating a signal characteristic of at least two existing echo signals after temporally aligning the existing echo signals, and generating ultrasound image data based on one or more existing echo signals and the interpolated signal.

Ultrasound signal processing circuitry and related apparatus and methods
Ultrasound signal processing circuitry and related apparatus and methods are described. Groups of signal samples corresponding to respective acquisitions performed by an ultrasound transducer array may be processed by being transformed to the Fourier domain and via the application of one or more weighting functions. The transformed groups of signals may be combined with one another in the Fourier domain to obtain a Fourier-compounded set of signals that may be used for image formation.

Time-Aligned Plane Wave Compounding of Ultrasound Data
Shear wave elastography and/or other ultrasound imaging procedures are performed using a data acquisition technique in which data are acquired with high SNR while maintaining a high PRF.sub.e, using conventional clinical ultrasound scanners. In general, ultrasound data are acquired using plane waves at different angles, after which a time alignment process is applied to the acquired data. The time alignment uses interpolation to obtain data points at higher frame rates, and the time-aligned data is compounded to increase the SNR.
