APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING ABSORBENT BODY
An apparatus for manufacturing an absorbent body according to the present invention includes a conveying unit (2) that conveys an aggregate (101) of absorbent fibers and a water-absorbent resin (102), a mixing unit (3) that accepts the aggregate of the absorbent fibers and the water-absorbent resin that were conveyed by the conveying unit and mixes the absorbent fibers and the water-absorbent resin, a chamber portion (4) that has an internal space (40) through which the absorbent fibers and the water-absorbent resin that were mixed in the mixing unit fall, a stacking portion (5) that is disposed below the chamber portion and has a recessed portion (531) in which the absorbent fibers and the water-absorbent resin that fall through the chamber portion are stacked, and a suction unit (6) that causes a negative pressure in the chamber portion.
Nozzle, adhesive application head, adhesive application apparatus, and method of making diaper
A nozzle includes a pattern shim having a plurality of first slits and a plurality of second slits, an adhesive shim having a plurality of first holes, a gas shim, a head body having an adhesive outlet and an adhesive distribution groove communicating with the adhesive outlet, and a face plate. Adhesive ejection ports are formed at openings of the plurality of first slits, and gas discharge ports are formed at openings of a plurality of second slits in such a manner that the gas discharge ports are located on both sides of each of the adhesive ejection ports. The plurality of first holes communicate with the adhesive distribution groove. The plurality of first holes are formed in such a manner that distances of the first holes from the corresponding discharge ejection ports become shorter as distances of the corresponding first holes from the adhesive outlet become longer.
Absorbent article with high toughness adhesive
An absorbent article (20, 20) comprising a topsheet (58), a backsheet (42,60), and an absorbent core (62), and at least one nonwoven-nonwoven adhesive bond other than a core stabilization bond, wherein the adhesive of the adhesive bond has a Toughness of at least 11 MJ/m.sup.3, a Yield Stress of at least 0.7 MPa. The adhesive may further have a storage modulus G of at least 7.5 MPa. These are as measured at 37 C. according to the methods described herein. The adhesive comprises at least 5% by weight of the adhesive of a tackifier.
DRYPAD WITH RAPID ABSORPTION AND LIQUID REMOVAL
Disclosed is a liquid removal drypad and liquid removal system suitable for absorbing and removing liquid produced by an individual. The drypad can include one or more perforated conduits arranged with an absorbent material. A source of reduced pressure can be connected to the one or more perforated conduits to remove liquid from the drypad. The drypad can be positioned under a patient and liquid produced by the individual can be removed by applying reduced pressure to the drypad. The drypad can be made by combining one or more conduits with an absorbent material.
