MARINE CHART AND SONAR IMAGE PRESENTATION SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Systems and methods for presenting marine information are provided herein. A system includes an array of a plurality of sonar transducer elements associated with a watercraft and a display. The system causes presentation of a chart of a body of water, including a representation of the watercraft at a current location. The system also operates the array to cause transmission of sonar beams into the underwater environment and receives sonar return data from the array. The system further generates, based on the sonar return data, a two-dimensional live sonar image, determines a facing direction of the array, and causes presentation of the sonar image in the facing direction on the chart and relative to the representation of the watercraft. Accordingly, live sonar imagery is presented on the chart to visually provide a relationship between objects within the live sonar imagery and the real-world position of those objects.
Apparatus, method and program for processing data
A data processing apparatus is provided, which includes processing circuitry. The processing circuitry is configured to acquire a data set from target detected by a detection apparatus, perform rendering of the data set, and generate a plurality of views arranged on a screen. Each view of the plurality of views includes a plurality of pixels. Each pixel included in the plurality of views is associated with a plurality of pieces of information including a first information displayed on the screen and a second information that indicates a view among the plurality of views to which the pixel belongs.
Integrated sonar devices and methods
The invention generally relates to sonar devices that integrate forward-looking sensors with down-looking echosounders, side scanning sonar, or both. The invention provides a sonar system that includes a forward-looking sonar device that operates in an integrated fashion with one or more other sonar devices so that a boater can have a reliable navigation tool while also using sonar for finding fish and other features on the seafloor. The forward-looking sonar can include a transducer array that takes a three-dimensional acoustic reading of the objects and seafloor ahead. The electronics that process the acoustic data can also process data from down-looking sonar, side-scanning sonar, or both and can integrate the information to present an expansive display in the boat, revealing the contents and the floor of the sea in front of, around, and under the boat.

Flasher type multi-frequency fish finder
The flasher-type multi-frequency fish finder includes a wideband ultrasonic transducer, a display-rotating disk, a motor and a control device. The plurality of display LEDs are composed of the first, second and third display LEDs. The control device has a signal-separating and obtaining part and a light-emission signal-producing part. The signal-separating and obtaining part separates the reflected signal and obtains the first reflected signal corresponding to the high frequency, the second reflected signal corresponding to the medium frequency, and the third reflected signal corresponding to the low frequency. The light-emission signal-producing part generates first, second and third light-emission signals based on the first, second and third reflection signals, respectively. The first, second and third annular-display regions are concentrically set on the display surface. Underwater detection results by high frequency, medium frequency and low frequency ultrasonic waves are simultaneously indicated by a flashing light in the first, second and third annular-display regions.
CASTABLE SONAR DEVICES AND OPERATIONS IN A MARINE ENVIRONMENT
Many different types of systems are utilized and tasks are performed in a marine environment. The present invention provides various configurations of castable devices that can be operated and/or controlled for such systems or tasks. One or more castable devices can be integrated with a transducer assembly, such as a phased array, that emits sonar beams and receives sonar returns from the underwater environment. Processing circuitry may receive the sonar returns, process the sonar returns, generate an image, and transmit the image to a display.
Pilot display systems and methods
A method for providing enhanced sonar images includes ensonifying a target column of water with sonar beams corresponding to pulses of continuous wave (CW) and pulse compression (FM) signals. Received acoustic returns are processed to generate sonar image data corresponding to the CW signals and the FM signals. The CW and FM sonar image data are then displayed contemporaneously such that one sonar image data set overlays another. Techniques are also disclosed to provide situational imagery. A pilot display system includes a user interface, a logic device, and a speed sensor mounted to a mobile structure. The user interface is configured to receive user input and provide user feedback, and the logic device is configured to receive a speed of the mobile structure from the speed sensor, generate corresponding situational image data, and render the situational image data via at least one display of the user interface.
Frequency Steered Sonar User Interface
A marine sonar display device comprises a display, a memory element, and a processing element. The processing element is configured to transmit a transmit electronic signal to a frequency steered sonar element that transmits an array of sonar beams into a body of water in a first direction towards the front of the marine vessel forming a first sonar wedge and a second array of sonar beams into a body of water in a second direction directly below the marine vessel forming a second sonar wedge, receive a receive electronic signal from the frequency steered sonar element, generate an array of sonar image slices, identify a gap in an underwater area between the first sonar wedge and the second sonar wedge, and control the display to visually present the array of sonar image slices in near real time and a sonar image slice in the gap.
PRESENTING OBJECTS IN A SONAR IMAGE OF AN UNDERWATER ENVIRONMENT
A sonar system is provided including a display screen, a transducer assembly including at least one transducer that is configured to emit one or more sonar signals into an underwater environment and receive sonar return data reflected from one or more objects, and a sonar module configured to generate a 3D matrix based on the sonar return data including a plurality of sonar returns that are each defined by a 3D positional value, determine a group of the plurality of sonar returns associated with an object, assign a predetermined icon to the determined group, and generate and display 3D image of the sonar return data. The predetermined icon is positioned within the 3D image at a position that corresponds to the position of the determined group such that the position of the predetermined icon corresponds to the position of the object.
Export user data from defined region
Described herein are implementations of various technologies for an apparatus and method for providing navigation data. In one implementation, a non-transitory computer-readable medium having stored thereon a plurality of computer-executable instructions. When the plurality of computer-executable instructions are executed by a computer, the plurality of executable instructions causes the computer to receive a user selection of a plurality of points of navigation data and receive a user selection of a geographical region. The computer can select at least a portion of the plurality of the points of the navigation data that are in the geographical region.
