The system includes a mobile scanning platform configured to measure coordinates in the environment. The mobile scanning platform has one or more radio antennas. The system further includes one or more processors operably coupled to the mobile scanning platform, the one or more processors being responsive to nontransitory executable instructions for performing a method. The method includes registering the measured coordinates to generate a point cloud. Registering includes triangulating a position of the mobile scanning platform based at least in part on data received from the one or more radio antennas. Registering further includes adjusting an orientation or position of one or more of the measured coordinates to align with a layout of the environment.

Apparatus and method for distance-based option data object filtering and modification

An apparatus, method, and computer program product are provided to filter and modify option data objects and weighted values associated with option data objects through the application of specific rule sets based on the relative density of option data objects within a particularized area. In some example implementations, option data objects and related parameters are parsed to identify locations associated with the option data object and a weighted value, such as a weighted value generated by a predictive model. Based at least in part on the location associated with the option data object, a determined location of a user of a mobile device, and location-specific distance criteria, the weighted value associated with the option data object may be modified to reflect distance-related option election probabilities.

Positioning sensor and direction estimation method

An estimation device including a processor and a memory. The processor acquires multiple reception signals received via multiple reception antennas at a predetermined sampling cycle in a predetermined period. The processor further calculates complex transfer functions and records each of the complex transfer functions in the memory as being associated with each time point at which each of the reception signals is observed. The processor also extracts, among the complex transfer functions, pairs of two complex transfer functions respectively corresponding to two time points in a predetermined interval, and calculates pieces of differential information representing a difference between a pair of two complex transfer functions included in each of the pairs of two complex transfer functions. Based on the above, the processor estimates a direction to a location of a moving body with respect to the estimation device based on each of the plurality of pieces of differential information.

Systems and methods for determining user equipment (UE) locations within a wireless network using reference signals of the wireless network are described. The disclosed systems and methods utilize a plurality of in-phase and quadrature (I/Q) samples generated from signals provided by receive channels associated with two or more antennas of the wireless system. Based on received reference signal parameters the reference signal within the signals from each receive channel among the receive channels is identified. Based on the identified reference signal from each receive channel, an angle of arrival between a baseline of the two or more antennas and incident energy from the UE to the two or more antennas is determined. That angle of arrival is then used to calculate the location of the UE. The angle of arrival may be a horizontal angle of arrival and/or a vertical angle of arrival.
