Method of making wearable article comprising elastic belt
A method of manufacturing a wearable article is disclosed. The method includes advancing a first layer of continuous sheet and a second layer of discrete continuous sheet having a smaller width than the first layer of continuous sheet; intermittently joining a first group of elastic bodies between the first layer of continuous sheet and the second layer of discrete continuous sheet; joining a second group of elastic bodies to the first layer of continuous sheets outward of the second layer of discrete continuous sheet; joining a center chassis with the first layer of continuous sheet and overlapping the first group of elastic bodies not joined to the first layer of continuous sheet; folding the first layer of continuous sheet to form a first layer fold over, wherein the first layer fold over overlaps the second group of elastic bodies, the center chassis, and the second layer of discrete continuous sheet.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH CHANNELS AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THEREOF
A method for manufacturing an absorbent article, said method comprising guiding a first sheet material along a rotating member, wherein a surface of said rotating member is provided with a pattern with at least one suction zone and at least one non-suction zone; applying an absorbent material on said first sheet material on the rotating member; locally removing the absorbent material applied on at least one attachment portion of the first sheet material located above the at least one non-suction zone, such that at least one remaining portion of the first sheet material located above the at least one suction zone is covered with absorbent material and substantially no absorbent material is present on the at least one attachment portion; applying a second sheet material on top of the absorbent material on the first sheet material.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING DISPOSABLE WEAR
A method of manufacturing a disposable wear includes conveying, in a first direction, an absorbent-body continuous body in which first portions to be made into absorbent bodies are connected; and conveying, in a second direction, a waist-member continuous body in which second portions to be made into waist members are connected. The method includes forming the absorbent bodies by cutting the absorbent-body continuous body; and forming folded absorbent bodies by folding the absorbent bodies into two parts. The method includes rotating the folded absorbent bodies by 90 degrees; and forming a wear continuous body by placing, onto the waist-member continuous body, the folded absorbent bodies, which have been rotated by 90 degrees, apart from each other, and bonding the folded absorbent bodies to the waist-member continuous body. The method includes forming disposable wears by cutting the wear continuous body at cutting positions located between adjacent the absorbent bodies.
Absorbent article with conforming features
An absorbent has longitudinal and lateral centerlines, first, second, and target regions, the target region being disposed between the first second regions. Each of the first, second target regions extend laterally across the disposable absorbent article. The disposable absorbent article also has a topsheet; a backsheet; an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and backsheet; a fluid management layer disposed between the topsheet and absorbent core; and a target zone disposed in the target region. The target zone has a first plurality of conforming features in at least the absorbent core or a combination of the absorbent core and at least one of the topsheet or fluid management layer. The absorbent article also has a long fiber network.
AN ARRAY OF PANT-TYPE ARTICLES, AND A METHOD OF PRODUCING PANT-TYPE ARTICLES IN AN ARRAY OF PANT-TYPE ARTICLES
A method for producing an array of disposable pant-type articles, the array including at least a first and a second pant-type article having different sizes. The method includes a number of different processes corresponding to the number of pant-type articles in the array wherein all processes involve forming a stretchbonded laminate web comprising a continuous elastic web and a non-elastic or less elastic web, forming a composite web of precursor articles including the stretchbonded laminate web and separating individual pant-type articles from the composite web by severing the composite web at side joins formed between the precursor articles. In the different processes, the continuous elastic web differs between the different processes with regard to elastic properties while a pitch length of the stretchbonded elastic laminate web is the same in all continuous processes of the method. Also, an array of pant-type articles which may be produced by the method.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR APPLYING PARALLEL FLARED ELASTICS TO DISPOSABLE PRODUCTS AND DISPOSABLE PRODUCTS CONTAINING PARALLEL FLARED ELASTICS
An apparatus for applying elastics to a running web including a crank and arm, the arm arranged to reciprocate from side to side during use and having a laydown carriage carried on the arm, the laydown carriage including at least one eyelet arranged to support an elastic strand, the assembly further including a shoe guide.
Apparatuses and methods for making absorbent articles
The present disclosure relates to printing graphics onto advancing substrates in diaper converting lines, wherein first graphics having relatively low print resolutions and second graphics having relatively high print resolutions may be both printed onto advancing substrates. During the assembly process, localized speed variances may be imparted to the advancing substrates to achieve the different print resolutions. In some configurations, first graphics with relatively low print resolutions may be printed onto the substrate while advancing at relatively high speeds, and second graphics with relatively high print resolutions may be printed onto portions of the substrate that have been temporarily stopped or slowed to relatively slow speed. The printed substrates may then be incorporated into assembled diapers so as place the graphics in desired positions on the diapers.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH CHANNELS AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THEREOF
An absorbent article comprising a liquid pervious topsheet, a liquid impervious backsheet, and an absorbent core comprising an absorbent material between a top core wrap sheet and a back core wrap sheet, said absorbent core being positioned in between said topsheet and said backsheet; said absorbent core having a first and second longitudinal edge (131, 132) and a front and rear transverse edge (133, 134), wherein the absorbent core is provided with a plurality of attachment zones where the top core wrap sheet is attached to the back core wrap sheet, wherein the plurality of attachment zones comprises: at least a first and a second elongate attachment zone, said first and second elongate attachment zone extending next to each other from a crotch region in the direction of the front and/or rear transverse edge; at least one connecting attachment zone connecting said first attachment zone with said second attachment zone.
Lower surface friction absorbent articles and related methods therefor
An absorbent article includes a fluid pervious top sheet, a fluid impervious bottom sheet, and an absorbent core positioned therebetween. The top sheet comprises a plurality of bicomponent fibers having target friction characteristics.
