SYSTEMS, APPARATUS, AND METHODS FOR DELIVERY OF THERAPEUTIC SUBSTANCE TO THE TYMPANIC MEMBRANE
Systems, apparatus, and methods are described for delivering a therapeutic substance to the tympanic membrane of an ear of a subject, including a reservoir configured to contain the therapeutic substance and a delivery interface by which the therapeutic substance is delivered to the tympanic membrane.
Medication Delivery Device and Method
The disclosure relates to a device for vaginal drug delivery. More particularly, the device relates to a tampon engaged or engageable device, having a dissolvable elongated housing which is adapted with an axial cavity sized to surround a tampon, and having a fixed or removably engaged dissolvable capsule located at a distal end of the housing. So positioned, the device delivers medications such as prescription and non prescription drugs, neuroceuticals, and supplements and the like, directly to the vaginal tract which is especially useful in treating ailments in the same region by such a direct communication of the medication thereto.
Time-released tampon applicator
The present invention is a time-released tampon applicator that is capable of releasing a medicated cream/ointment inside vagina to relieve yeast infection. The time-released tampon applicator of the present invention can release the medication throughout the day and avoids the messiness associated with conventional administration of medication towards vaginal yeast infection.
TAMPON WITH MEMBRANE
A tampon includes a membrane, an inner absorber and a support tube. The membrane mounted to the inner absorber and the support tube. The inner absorber is located at the center of the tampon and peripherally wrapped by the inner portion of the membrane. The support tube is located between the outer portion and inner portion of the membrane. The cord connected to the membrane extends beyond the tampon. The membrane contacts the vaginal wall and provides comfort when using the tampon.
Vaginal insertion assembly
The invention relates to a vaginal insertion assembly and methods of manufacturing it, which comprises a flexible retention web made by an atraumatic material intended to be introduced into the vaginal cavity with the aid of an applicator, said web comprising removal means and a shorter web flap F1 obtained by strangling the web in a site P, and being arranged into the applicator such that the web becomes more rigid and makes it less penetrable.
TAMPON WITH WICKING MEMBER AND IMPROVED MANUFACTURABILITY
A tampon including a pledget, a wicking member disposed in direct contact with the pledget, and a withdrawal cord is disclosed. The wicking member is non-coaxially arranged with respect to the withdrawal cord.
Protective disposable wrapper for tampons
Tampon packaging and disposal systems and methods are disclosed. The packaging has a flexible mitten and an optional attached tampon enclosure. The tampon enclosure can package a tampon and the flexible mitten wraps around the tampon enclosure. When unwrapped, the tampon enclosure is detachable from the mitten and the tampon can be used by a user. The mitten is used for removing the used tampon worn by the user and disposing of the used tampon after removal.
TAMPON WITH INTRAVAGINAL CANNABINOID DELIVERY DEVICE
A tampon and therapeutic delivery device is disclosed and includes a generally cylindrical applicator tube defining a cartridge within which a tampon is slidably received for ejection through one end of the cartridge. A generally hollow cylindrical plunger member is slidably received within an opposite end of the cartridge for ejecting the tampon therefrom. A cannabinoid-infused disintegrable carrier material is partially embedded in and movably held by the tampon for intravaginal delivery when ejected from the cartridge, whereupon the cannabinoid agent is released into the vagina and absorbed through the vaginal mucosa to provide relief of dysmenorrhea. The cartridge has a plurality of slots to permit pre-lubrication of the tampon, if desired, prior to insertion into the vaginal cavity. The system delivers a higher concentration to the muscle of the uterus, the primary site for the dyskinetic muscle contraction, which is the pathophysiologic cause of dysmenorrhea.
ABSORBENT, BREATHABLE AND PATHOGEN BLOCKING/KILLING WOUND CARE DRESSING AND FABRICATION THEREOF
This invention relates to a multi-layer wound site dressing specifically designed to treat chronic wounds and simultaneously block external pathogens from infecting the wound site from the environment. The said wound dressing comprises five layers; each layer performs a specific functionality in healing and protecting the wound site. The said layers of wound care dressing comprise (i) a permeable non-adherent woven or non-woven membrane in contact with wound site, (ii) a nanofibrous composite layer made of superabsorbent, activated carbon and a polymer (iii) a hydrophobic insulating membrane which is permeable to air with an adhesive edge, (iv) a nanofibrous membrane made of polymer and activated carbon hosting functional germicidal ions, and (v) an air permeable non-woven membrane with adhesive edge. The said layers are compounded by pressing and coating to make a comprehensive multi-layer wound care dressing product.
TAMPON CONTAINING A PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION
This disclosure presents and discusses a tampon having an absorbent main part that may be made of cotton. The main part includes a pharmaceutical composition comprising cannabidiol and chamomile blossoms.
