Method and garment for assisting a wearer with regulating body temperature

A temperature-regulating garment is provided for assisting a user with regulating body temperature. A garment body has first and second major garment body edges. The garment body has a neckline formed by a least a portion of the first major garment body edge. The garment body has a front right panel, a front left panel, and a back panel. At least one armhole is located laterally between the back panel and a selected one of the right front panel and the left front panel. First and second neck pockets are each configured to accept a temperature-regulating pack. The first neck pocket is disposed upon at least one of the right front panel and the back panel, spanning the first major garment body edge. The second neck pocket is disposed upon at least one of the left front panel and the back panel, spanning the first major garment body edge.

The elongate web of the assembly would be of sufficient length to allow the assembly to be worn over the shoulder of the amateur cook or professional chef, the absorbent web material serving as a hand towel, and the terminus pockets in combination with the heat resistant material, such as neoprene, or a silicon compound, serve as potholders for the movement or transport of hot pots, pans or dishes.

VENTILATED GARMENT

A ventilated garment is configured to be supported on a wearer to provide ventilation to a body part of the wearer. The garment can include an air flow guide that is defined by inner and outer panels. A blower is positioned in the air flow guide to draw air in through an intake and discharge the air through an outlet of the guide. The guide can be arranged on the garment so the intake is adjacent the base of the back of the wearer and the outlet is adjacent the neck. The garment can include a support cushion in operative alignment with the blower to cushion the body part from the blower when the blower is pressed between the body part and a support surface.

Garment With Wipe Zones

A garment having one or more wipe zones for transferring away perspiration from a wearer's skin upon contact with the wearer's skin is provided herein. The wipe zones may be comprised of hydrophobic material formed from yarns having a smaller denier per filament (DPF) than adjacent non-wipe zones on the garment. In some aspects, the DPF of the wipe-zone material is within a range of 0.025 to 0.0025. The wipe zones may be positioned on an outer-facing surface of the garment or an inner-facing surface of the garment in areas that are readily accessible to remove perspiration from the wearer's hands and/or head. Methods of manufacturing a garment having wipe zones are also provided herein.

One or more pockets on the vest may be configured to receive one or more icepacks. The one or more pockets may include a stretch material on a front portion of the one or more pockets. The one or more pockets can further include a non-stretch material on a back portion of the one or more pockets.

Athletic Band with Removable Module

A performance monitoring system includes an athletic band or other article of apparel worn by a user, with a pocket supported by the article and defining a cavity, where the pocket has a sensor opening extending through an inner wall of the pocket and an access opening providing access to the cavity. The system also includes an electronic module received in the cavity such that the module can be inserted and removed from the cavity through the access opening. The module has a projection on an underside of the electronic module and a sensor mounted on the projection, where the projection extends through the sensor opening when the electronic module is received in the cavity and is configured to place the sensor in close proximity to skin of the user, such that the sensor is configured to sense a physiological parameter of the user.

TRAINING TUNIC

A training tunic is provided with tapered front and back panels. The back panel has attached side straps that mate with matable front portions on the front panel. The end of each side strap is folded to form a pocket compartment opening upward. Where each side strap is attached to the back panel, an outer side pocket is formed along the back panel that is sized and positioned so that the side strap may be inserted into the outer side pocket. When the training tunic is worn, it is open on the sides above and below the side straps, and a sleeveless arm area is formed on each side of the garment between the shoulder seams and the side straps. Preferably the training tunic has a hood or may have a collar.
