Stowable article of apparel and apparel system
Aspects herein provide methods of transforming a stowable article of apparel for an upper torso of a wearer. The article of apparel comprises a first tensioning mechanism superior to and parallel with a waist opening, and a second tensioning mechanism coincident with the waist opening and spaced apart from the first tensioning mechanism. An upper half of the article of apparel is doffed. The waist opening is folded upward toward the first tensioning mechanism forming a pouch between the first and second tensioning mechanisms where the upper half of the article of apparel is stowed. The second tensioning mechanism is tensioned, thereby stowing the article of apparel in the pouch around the wearer.

NFC-powered LED sticker with integral capacitor
An LED sticker is disclosed that receives an NFC transmission from a nearby smartphone to energize LEDs in the sticker. A spiral (or loop) antenna is used in the sticker to generate power from the NFC transmission. The NFC signal is at 13.56 MHz, which is the resonant frequency of the NFC antenna circuit in the smartphone. The LED portion is formed by sandwiching pre-formed microscopic LEDs between two conductive layers to connect the LEDs in parallel. The conductive layers form a relatively large integral capacitor that is used to achieve the 13.56 MHz resonant frequency. So no additional capacitor is needed in the circuit to achieve a resonance of 13.56 MHz. This greatly reduces the design requirements of the antenna. The LED sticker may also contain an NFC tag having its own independent loop antenna and NFC chip. Various practical applications of the LED sticker are disclosed.
GARMENT WITH CHALK DISPENSING POCKET
A garment with a chalk dispensing pocket is disclosed. The garment includes an external pocket having a mesh panel, preferably applied on pants/leggings/shorts. The chalk dispensing pocket is dimensioned to contain a porous container/bag/ball of a gripping chalk to chalk the user's hands. When applied to pants, the chalk dispensing pocket is disposed on a frontal, lateral, or posterior aspect of one or more legs of the pants. The garment with chalk dispensing pocket is particularly suited for rock climbers providing a convenient unobtrusive chalking pocket that is readily accessible within arms reach and facilitates the climber's freedom of movement.

Neck Guard
The invention relates to a neck guard having an impact guarding insert. The neck guard has a body with a top with two tabs, a bottom, two ends, a front side, and a back side. A cavity is formed within the neck guard for containing the insert. The insert can be a removable insert that is selectably inserted and removed through an opening in the front side of the neck guard. The insert can also be permanently secured within the cavity. The insert can have a plurality of honeycomb shaped holes through it, and it is preferably made of a flexible and compressible material. The insert has tabs that can be aligned with and mate with tabs of the neck guard body. The body also has a bib at the bottom of the neck guard. The insert is also positioned through interfacing with the top of the bib.
Umbrella Holding Coat Device
The umbrella holding coat device is intended to provide users with coats that have an external umbrella pocket to store a wet umbrella within the coat. The device allows users to externally store their wet or damp umbrella when they arrive at home, office, school, or when entering an establishment. Further, the umbrella pocket provides users a location to store a wet or damp umbrella as well as allow it to dry without leaking or spilling water. To accomplish this, the device includes an umbrella pocket with multiple layers and functionalities. Furthermore, the device provides a central location for umbrella storage and negates the need to use umbrella canisters. Similar to other coats, the umbrella holding coat device may be stored in closets, coat racks, or similar locations after taking it off and thereby allow the umbrella pocket to protect and dry the umbrella.
