DIAPER SENSOR DEVICE, METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DIAPER SURVEILLANCE
The invention comprises a diaper sensor device comprising at least two sensor units each comprising at least a temperature sensor and a humidity sensor; optionally a positional sensor; a microcontroller communicating with the sensors and comprising a transmitter for transmitting data from the sensors; a power unit supplying power to the sensors, the microcontroller and the transmitter; a flexible watertight casing; housing the sensors, the transmitter; and the power unit, and fastening means for fastening the diaper sensor device on the outside of the diaper.
Furthermore the invention comprises a method and a system for determining the existence and class of human excreta in a diaper.
Apparatus and method for product and signaling device matching
The present subject matter relates to absorbent articles and signaling devices for use therewith. The signaling device includes one or more non-invasive sensors configured to detect the presence of a substance, such as a body fluid, in the absorbent article. The signaling device can provide an audible and/or visible alert to the user of the absorbent article when it detects the presence of a substance. The absorbent article includes one or more identifiable characteristics the presence of which permits operation of the signaling device. In this manner, the present disclosure provides for product and signaling device matching for use.
Diaper
A diaper includes a medical pad including a piece of substrate with a major surface and an electric circuit on the major surface, a sensor connected with the electric circuit for measuring the electrical resistance of the electric circuit, and a wireless data transceiver or a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag electrically connected with the sensor for receiving results of the measuring from the sensor for subsequent transmission. The system carries out real time self-calibration to adaptively monitor the condition of the medical pad even in the face of changing environment and changing material properties.
PROCESS FOR MAKING AN ABSORBENT ARTICLE COMPRISING A TOPSHEET/ACQUISITION LAYER LAMINATE
A process of making an absorbent article is disclosed. A liquid permeable topsheet web extending substantially continuously in a machine direction a backsheet web, and an acquisition layer are provided. The topsheet web has first and second surfaces. The backsheet web extends substantially continuously in the machine direction. The acquisition layer has a first and second surface. The topsheet and acquisition layer are aligned in a face to face relationship such that the second surface of the topsheet in in contact with the first surface of the acquisition layer and simultaneously mechanically deformed which combines the topsheet with the acquisition layer. The topsheet web and acquisition layer are nested together such that a majority of the three-dimensional protrusions formed in the topsheet web coincide with and fit together with a majority of the three-dimensional protrusions formed in the acquisition layer to provide a topsheet/acquisition layer laminate web having three-dimensional protrusions.
CONNECTORS AND ENCASEMENT FOR PERSONAL HYGIENE PRODUCT WITH A DIGITAL ELEMENT
A personal hygiene product with a digital element is described. In one embodiment, a conductive sensor assembly is disposed within the personal hygiene product that includes one or more moisture sensors that generate a resistive and/or capacitive signal indicative of saturation of the personal hygiene product when in wetting contact with menstrual fluid.
Intelligent incontinence monitor generating and utilizing incontinence profiles
A system comprises a series of passive RFID tag sensors each embedded on top of its own matching antenna inside a flexible substrate. The sensors are driven by a controller-transceiver. The controller-transceiver sends RF signals through an antenna to each RFID tag sensor and receives data transmitted back from the same sensors. Sensors are embedded in a flexible substrate positioned under an unaltered incontinence absorbent pad and juxtaposed to derive further information. Multiple sensors provide sensing of physical-environmental data in addition to moisture. The controller makes intelligent and positive incontinence determinations by relating data to profiles indicative of correlation to incontinence conditions.
System and methods for monitoring defecation, urination, near-body temperature, body posture and body movements in young children, patients and elderlies
Remotely detecting the presence of urine or feces in a diaper of an infant or adult using a disposable sensor placed inside the diaper, in conjunction with a permanent device that is capable of wirelessly transmitting data to a mobile device or base station is disclosed. The permanent device can also be capable of measuring temperature and body movements. This additional information can be used in conjunction with the detection of urine or feces to identify patterns.
