An objective is to provide an absorbent article that can prevent backflow and can reduce water retention in a front sheet as much as possible. In an incontinence pad 1 for use with a medium or larger volume that absorbs 20 cc or a larger volume of urine, a front sheet 3 is formed by coating a water repellent on a spunlace nonwoven fabric that is made of 100 wt. % of cotton fiber. On a skin facing surface side, in a plan view, recess part lines 20, 21 of a diamond-shaped lattice pattern are formed from many first recess part lines 20 that go along a predetermined inclination angle direction and are formed with a constant gap in the pad longitudinal direction and many second recess part lines 21 that go along the inclination angle direction obtained by reversing the first recess part lines 20 in a width direction by the pad longitudinal direction and are formed with a constant gap in the pad longitudinal direction, partition areas 22 of a diamond-shaped lattice shape partitioned by these recess part lines 20, 21 are arranged adjacently in the longitudinal direction and the width direction. Furthermore, many open holes 10 penetrating through both sides are formed at least at an excretion hole corresponding part H.

INCONTINENCE PAD WITH VARYING THICKNESS PROFILE

The incontinence pad comprises a fluid permeable topsheet, a backsheet and an absorbent core being located between the topsheet and the backsheet. The absorbent core comprises a first core layer and a fluid control layer. The first core layer comprises 100 gsm superabsorbent material or more. The absorbent core has a varying thickness profile as seen in the longitudinal direction (L), with a first thickness (T1) in the intermediate portion and a second thickness (T2) in the rear portion. The first thickness (T1) in the intermediate portion is from 9 mm or more and the second thickness (T2) is 4 mm or less, as measured under a load of load of 0.5 kPa. The region which has the second thickness (T2) extends 30 mm or more in the longitudinal direction (L) from the core rear edge and toward the core front edge.

INCONTINENCE PAD WITH VARYING THICKNESS PROFILE

A urine incontinence pad has an absorbent core having a first core layer and a fluid control layer. The absorbent core has a varying thickness profile as seen in the longitudinal direction, with the intermediate portion having a first thickness under a load of 0.5 kPa and a first compressed thickness under a load of 2.5 kPa. The rear and front portions each have a second thickness under a load of 0.5 kPa and a second compressed thickness under a load of 2.5 kPa, wherein the second thickness is from 37% to 15% of the first thickness, the second compressed thickness is from 37% to 15% of the first compressed thickness and a ratio between the first and the second compressed thickness under a load of 2.5 kPa is equal or greater than a ratio between the first and the second thickness, under a load of 0.5 kPa.

Disposable hygiene article with improved fit

The present invention relates to a disposable hygiene article comprising a pair of curved compression lines in a rear portion of the article. The article has a core with a first region which has its narrowest width (M) in the transverse direction (x) in a front portion or at a location of a transition between the front portion and a crotch portion of the article. The absorbent core in the rear portion comprises the first (L1, R1) and second (L2, R2) pairs of rear compression lines, which extend in a longitudinal direction (y) between respective front and rear endpoints. A transverse distance (G3min) separates the rear endpoints of the pair of compression lines whilst a second, larger distance (G3max) separates the front endpoints of the compression lines.
