GROMMET FOR CABLE HANGER
A grommet adapted for insertion into a cable hanger includes a generally C-shaped main body formed of a polymeric material and having a longitudinal axis. Such a grommet can be securely held by a cable hanger.
Device for pulling out optical fiber, method for pulling out optical fiber, and method for inspecting optical fiber
A device that pulls out an optical fiber includes: a bobbin support that supports a bobbin rotatably about a rotation axis; a first pulling out unit that holds a first end of the optical fiber, pulls out a first portion of the optical fiber wound around the bobbin from a side of the first end in a state where the bobbin rotates in a predetermined direction, and returns a part of the first portion to the bobbin in a state where the bobbin rotates in a direction opposite to the predetermined direction; and a second pulling out unit that holds a second end of the optical fiber after the first pulling out unit pulls out the first portion from the side of the first end, and pulls out a second portion of the optical fiber wound around the bobbin from a side of the second end.
Fiber Optic Cable External Shield Connector
A fiber optic cable external shield connector grounds a fiber optic cable having both a corrugated conductive shield and a strength member without removal of the outer protective layer of the fiber optic cable. The connector has a grounding cover and a cooperative grounding base each with an electrically conductive grounding assembly having an array of prongs. Bosses of the cover and bosses of the base are fastened together to force the prongs of the conductive assembly to pierce the outer non-conductive sheath of the fiber optic cable. The prongs cooperatively pinch the strength member to ultimately connect the corrugated shield and strength member to an outside ground.
OPTICAL MODULE
An optical module includes an optical waveguide configured to propagate light, an optical connector connected to the optical waveguide, an optical cable connected to the optical connector, a housing accommodating the optical waveguide and the optical connector, a cable clamp cover connected to the housing and covering the optical cable, and a cable boot connected to the cable clamp cover. The material of the cable clamp cover is harder than the material of the cable boot.
Fiber optic cable with flexible conduit
The present disclosure relates to a fiber optic cable that includes a plurality of internal optical fibers and a fiber optic cable portion. The fiber optic cable portion includes an outer jacket and an inner conduit, the inner conduit containing the plurality of optical fibers disposed therein. The fiber optic cable further includes a flexible conduit portion, wherein the flexible conduit portion has a proximal end and a distal end. The proximal end is secured to the fiber optic cable portion and the distal end has a terminating device. The terminating device at least partially encases the flexible conduit portion, and the plurality of optical fibers passes through the flexible conduit portion and the terminating device.
DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR SECURING CABLES
A device for securing one or more cables within an enclosure is provided. The device includes a first portion configured to receive cable(s) therein and a second portion that is movable between an open position and a closed position with respect to the first portion. The device also includes a support positioned within the first portion or the second portion, and the device is configured to rest against the cable(s) when the second portion is moved into the closed position. The support enables differently sized cables to be secured between the first portion and the second portion when the second portion is in the closed position.
CABLE STRAIN RELIEF ASSEMBLIES
Cable strain relief assemblies include at least cable support member having an upper cantilevered end, a lower mating section, and a medial elongated portion disposed between the upper cantilevered end and the lower mating section; and at least one base member oriented substantially perpendicular to the cable support member upon assembly. The cable strain relief assembly is configured to resist longitudinal forces of several pounds on a plurality of fiber optic cables, having optical fibers contained therein, and prevent optical fiber movement within outer cable jackets of the fiber optic cables.
OPTICAL TERMINATION ENCLOSURE
The present disclosure relates to an optical termination enclosure having an enclosure housing containing a fiber management assembly. The enclosure housing can define sealed cable ports and can include cable anchor mounting locations in alignment with the cable ports. Cable anchoring and grounding units can be attached at the cable anchor mounting locations. The fiber management assembly can include a fiber break-out arrangement including a resilient grommet used to anchor a protective tube that carries optical fibers from the cable anchor mounting location to the fiber management assembly.
