20200238913 · 2020-07-30 ·

A method of assembling a mirror head for a vehicular interior rearview mirror assembly includes providing a mirror casing, a mirror reflective element at the mirror casing, and a toggle mechanism, which includes a body portion and a toggle lever joined to the body portion. A lower pivot mount of the toggle mechanism is inserted into a lower receiving portion of the mirror casing and an upper pivot mount of the toggle mechanism is inserted into an upper receiving portion of the mirror casing. An outer surface of the body portion corresponds with adjacent outer surfaces of the mirror casing, and, when the toggle lever pivots relative to the lower receiving portion of the mirror casing, the mirror casing pivots relative to the body portion to flip the mirror head between a first orientation and a second orientation.

A first center mirror and a second mirror are each suspended from a main bracket. The second mirror is pivotally connected to a bar which pivotally attaches to the main bracket and also to the second mirror. A third mirror is optionally pivotally connected to an arm pivotally attached to the main bracket. The first mirror is also preferably pivotally attached to an arm which is itself pivotally attached to the main bracket. An adjustably positionable top mirror can also be mounted to the main bracket. A close-up auxiliary mirror can be suspended from one of the other mirrors. Bushings support the arms upon the main bracket and support the mirrors upon the arms, with the bushings including a detent system to hold the mirrors in predefined positions. A person can stand multiple places and have mirrors positioned about the person for viewing different sides at each place.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING A MIRROR AS AN OPTICAL COMPONENT FOR AN OPTICAL SYSTEM OF A PROJECTION EXPOSURE APPARATUS FOR PROJECTION LITHOGRAPHY
20200206855 · 2020-07-02 ·

When producing a mirror as an optical component for an optical system of a projection exposure apparatus for projection lithography, first, an average value of a global gravitational acceleration is determined. Next, a gravitational acceleration difference between the gravitational acceleration at the production location and the gravitational acceleration average value is determined. After a determination of a target surface shape of a reflection surface of the mirror, a mirror substrate is machined at the production location taking into consideration the gravitational acceleration difference in a manner such that, under the influence of the gravitational acceleration average value, a current surface shape of the reflection surface of the mirror substrate does not deviate from the target surface shape by more than a prescribed figure tolerance value (P.sub.max). The result is an optical element with a relatively small figure at a use location of the mirror.

Decorative showerhead and mirror

A showerhead that is attached to a shower arm which extends outward from a wall in a shower to support a base and/or a mirror. The base is provided for decorative purposes or to support the mirror. The mirror provides a mirrored surface that can be utilized by a person taking a shower to more safely, efficiently and effectively shave and/or accomplish other grooming tasks. The mirror attaches to the base, directly to the showerhead or to a tubular post that interconnects the showerhead and the base or mirror. Water from the showerhead discharges through the mirror. In either configuration, the mirror is more securely positioned in the shower so it will not drop to the shower floor. Hot water flowing through the mirror reduces fogging of the mirrored surface. In one configuration, the base is made out metal to further reduce the likelihood of fogging.

SUN VISOR AND METHOD OF ASSEMBLING A SUN VISOR

A sun visor comprises a sun visor body (2) and a vanity mirror assembly (1) comprising a vanity mirror (11) mounted on a support (12). The sun visor comprises a first set of clips (31, 32) configured for snap-fit connection of the vanity mirror assembly (1) onto the sun visor body (2) so that the vanity mirror assembly (1) is held firmly against the sun visor body (2) by the first set of clips, and a second set of clips (41, 42; 51, 52) configured for snap-fit connection of the vanity mirror assembly (1) onto the sun visor body (2) allowing for movement of the vanity mirror assembly (1) in relation to the sun visor body (2). If the snap-fit connection by the first set of clips fails after an impact, the vanity mirror assembly may remain attached to the sun visor body by the second set of clips.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ANALYZING A RAIL
20200180667 · 2020-06-11 ·

A deployable measurement system for analyzing a rail of a railroad track includes a housing, a reflecting assembly coupled to the housing, a movement assembly coupled to the housing, and an optical measurement system disposed within the housing. Both the housing and the reflecting assembly are moveable between a stored position and a deployed position. The movement assembly includes a deployment assembly that moves the reflecting assembly from the stored position to the deployed position, and a retraction assembly that moves the reflecting assembly from the deployed position to the stored position. The optical measurement system emits and receives light. The reflecting assembly reflects the emitted light toward the rail. The reflecting assembly reflects light reflected off of the rail toward the optical measurement system. The light received by the optical measurement system is used to measure parameters related to the rail.
