Topsheets integrated with heterogenous mass layer
An absorbent article and method of making the absorbent article are disclosed. The absorbent article having a topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core structure having one or more layers wherein at least one layer is a heterogeneous mass layer, wherein the topsheet and the heterogeneous mass are integrated such that they reside in the same X-Y plane.
Diaper structure with enhanced tactile softness attributes
A diaper structure with enhanced softness attributes is disclosed. The diaper structure may include an innermost layer formed of a first nonwoven web, and an outermost layer formed of a second nonwoven web. The first and second nonwoven webs may have a combined basis weight of at least about 30 gsm. The ratio of the first web basis weight to the second web basis weight may range from 30/70 to 70/30.
SUPER-ABSORBENT POLYMER AND METHOD FOR PREPARING SAME
The present invention relates to a super-absorbent polymer having excellent properties, both centrifugal retention capacity (CRC) and absorption under pressure (AUP) having been improved by introducing a surface crosslinked layer crosslinked by surface-modified inorganic particles, and to a method for preparing the same. The super-absorbent polymer comprises: a base resin powder containing a crosslinked polymer of water-soluble ethylene-based unsaturated monomers having an at least partially neutralized acidic group; and a surface crosslinked layer formed on the base resin powder, wherein inorganic particles may be chemically bound to the crosslinked polymer contained in the surface crosslinked layer, via an oxygen-containing bond or a nitrogen-containing bond.
PARTICULATE WATER-ABSORBENT RESIN COMPOSITION, ABSORBENT BODY AND ABSORBENT ARTICLE
A particulate water-absorbent resin composition is provided which can suppress the odor of trimethylamine in addition to the odor of acetaldehyde, in other words, which can simultaneously suppress complex odors. In this particulate water-absorbent resin composition, which contains a hydrazide compound support and a particulate water-absorbent resin, the median particle diameter of the particulate water-absorbent resin is 100-600 m.
WATER ABSORBENT RESIN COMPOSITION, ABSORBENT, AND ABSORBENT ARTICLE
The present invention provides a water absorbent resin composition which suppresses acetaldehyde odor, while being suppressed in coloring with time. A water absorbent resin composition which contains a hydrazide compound carrier and a water absorbent resin, wherein: the degree of yellowing is 10 or less if 2.0 g of this water absorbent resin composition is held at a temperature of 70° C. at a relative humidity of 90% for 7 days; and if 10.0 g of this water absorbent resin composition and 900 ml of a nitrogen gas having an acetaldehyde concentration of 20 ppm are sealed in a hermetically sealed bag having a volumetric capacity of 2 liters, the acetaldehyde concentration of the gas in the hermetically sealed hag measured after a lapse of one hour is 15 ppm or less.
Method of Making an Absorbent Composite and Absorbent Articles Employing the Same
Disclosed is an absorbent core composite for a disposable absorbent article. The absorbent composite has a first fabric, a body side second fabric, and a plurality of aggregates of superabsorbent particles (SAP) situated between the first fabric second fabric. About each of a plurality of the SAP aggregates, an arrangement of spaced apart bond sites secures the second fabric to the first fabric and form a pocket in which the SAP aggregate is secured between the first fabric and the second fabric. The body side second fabric is a bulky nonwoven including fibers that entangle at least some particles in the SAP aggregate.
ABSORBENT CORE WITH PROFILED DISTRIBUTION OF ABSORBENT MATERIAL
An absorbent core for absorbent articles such as diapers comprising a core wrap comprising a top side and a bottom side, an absorbent material between the top side and the bottom side of the core wrap, a first and second longitudinally-extending channel-forming areas disposed on opposite sides of the longitudinal axis and substantially free of absorbent material preferably through which the top side of the core wrap is preferably attached to the bottom side of the core wrap. The core has a central absorbent zone between the first and the second channel-forming areas and a first and second lateral absorbent zones disposed laterally outwardly. The basis weight of the absorbent material in the central absorbent zone is higher than the basis weight of the absorbent material in each of the lateral absorbent zones for at least a first transversal section (S1). This relation is inverted along a second transversal section (S2) of the core. The first and second sections have each a length in the longitudinal direction of at least 10 mm.
ABSORBENT CORE WITH PROFILED DISTRIBUTION OF ABSORBENT MATERIAL
An absorbent core for absorbent articles such as diapers. The core comprises a core wrap comprising a top side and a bottom side, an absorbent material between the top side and the bottom side, a first and second longitudinally-extending channel-forming areas disposed on opposite sides of the longitudinal axis and substantially free of absorbent material preferably through which the top side of the core wrap is attached to the bottom side of the core wrap. The core has a central absorbent zone between the first and the second channel-forming areas and a first and second lateral absorbent zones disposed laterally outwardly. The average basis weight of the absorbent material in the central absorbent zone is lower than the average basis weight of the absorbent material in the lateral absorbent zones.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH A DISTRIBUTION LAYER COMPRISING CHANNELS
An absorbent article such as a diaper extending in a longitudinal direction parallel to a longitudinal axis (80′) and a transversal direction (90′) perpendicular to the longitudinal direction and comprising a distribution layer (54) between a topsheet (24) and an absorbent core (28). The distribution layer comprises a fibrous material and a first and second longitudinally-extending channels (86a,b) substantially free of fibrous material. The fibrous material is profiled in the transversal direction so that average basis weight between the channels differs from the average basis weight in the lateral areas outward of the channels by at least 50 g/m.sup.2 and/or wherein the distribution layer comprises a first region having a first basis weight (bw1) and a second region having a second basis weight (bw2), wherein the first basis weight and the second basis weight differ by at least 20 g/m.sup.2, preferably by at least 50 g/m.sup.2, and these regions are present in different areas of the distribution layer but in the same longitudinally extending transversal section. The absorbent core may comprise channel-forming areas (26a,b). The article further comprises a backsheet (25).
