ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH ABSORBENT BODY PROVIDING IMPROVED ACCESS TO CONTAINMENT POCKET OF WAIST CONTAINMENT MEMBER
An absorbent article (10, 110, 210, 310, 410) can include a waist containment member (54) and an absorbent body (34, 134, 234, 334, 434). The waist containment member (54) can include a proximal portion (76) and a distal portion (78) configured to freely move with respect to the chassis (11) when the absorbent article (10, 110, 210, 310, 410) is in a relaxed configuration to provide a containment pocket (82). The absorbent body (34, 134, 234, 334, 434) can be configured to provide improved access for exudates into the containment pocket (82) of the waist containment member (54).
ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH MULTI-USE PROTECTION LAYER
An absorbent article which can be more readily adaptable to meet the needs of the individual wearer of the absorbent article. The absorbent article can have a topsheet layer, a backsheet layer, and an absorbent core between the topsheet layer and the backsheet layer. The backsheet layer can have a garment attachment mechanism located on a garment facing surface of the backsheet layer. The absorbent article can further have a protection layer situated over and engaged with the garment attachment mechanism. The protection layer can be capable of being at least partially dis-engaged from the garment attachment mechanism. The protection layer of the absorbent article can be utilized by the wearer to provide additional area of coverage as deemed suitable by the wearer of the absorbent article.
UNDERPANTS-TYPE DISPOSABLE DIAPER
The present invention is intended to improve a fit to the lower part of a gluteal region. The foregoing issue is solved by an underpants-type disposable diaper in which an outer body is formed by stacking an elastic sheet layer between a first sheet layer and a second sheet layer, when the elastic sheet layer is extended in a width direction, the first sheet layer and the second sheet layer are joined together directly or indirectly at a large number of dot-like joint portions arranged at intervals left in the width-direction and front-back direction, cover parts of the outer body of a back body have peripheral edge regions and surrounded regions surrounded by the peripheral edge regions, and the arrangement density of the dot-like joint portions in the peripheral edge regions is higher than the arrangement density of the dot-like joint portions in the surrounded regions.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH PARTIAL LAMINATE WAIST ELASTIC MEMBER
An absorbent article (10) can include a waist elastic member (50, 150, 250). In one embodiment, the waist elastic member (50, 150, 250) can include a first longitudinal zone (92), a second longitudinal zone (94), and a middle longitudinal zone (93). The first longitudinal zone (92) can include a first elastic member (76) disposed between two layers of material, the second longitudinal zone (94) can include a second elastic member (78) disposed between two layers of material, and the middle longitudinal zone (93) can include less layers of materials than each of the first longitudinal zone (92) and the second longitudinal zone (94).
DISPOSABLE ABSORBENT PANTS WITH CONTAINMENT SYSTEM
An absorbent pant is provided with a containment system defined by a wearing-facing surface of the absorbent pant. The containment system comprises at least one of the following: a pleated section comprising a plurality of pleats; a channeled section comprising a plurality of alternating ridges and channels; and/or a bubbled section comprising a plurality of hemispherical-shaped bubbles aligned in a plurality of rows.
Absorbent core for use in absorbent articles
An absorbent core suitable for use in an absorbent article comprising: a first absorbent layer, the first absorbent layer comprising a first substrate, and a layer of cross-linked cellulose fibers deposited on the first substrate, a second absorbent layer, the second absorbent layer comprising a second substrate, a layer of superabsorbent polymer particles deposited on the second substrate and a fibrous layer of thermoplastic adhesive material covering the layer of superabsorbent polymer particles. The first and second absorbent layers being combined together such that at least a portion of the fibrous layer of thermoplastic adhesive material contacts at least a portion of the layer of cross-linked cellulose fibers of the first absorbent layer.
WATER-ABSORBENT RESIN PARTICLES
Disclosed are water-absorbent resin particles including: a crosslinked polymer having a structural unit derived from an ethylenically unsaturated monomer including at least one compound selected from the group consisting of (meth)acrylic acid and a salt thereof, in which a proportion of (meth)acrylic acid and a salt thereof is 70 to 100 mol % with respect to a total amount of monomer units in the crosslinked polymer, and in a moisture retention test performed under reduced pressure, a moisture retention rate after 6 hours is 55% by mass or more, and a water retention capacity for a physiological saline solution is 32 to 70 g/g.
TAPED ABSORBENT ARTICLES WITH FRONT AND CROTCH CHANNELS
A taped absorbent article 20 comprising a crotch channel 26 having a crotch channel bond strength, and a front channel 56 having no bond or a front channel bond strength which is weaker than the crotch channel bond strength. The front channel is at least partially superposed with the landing zone 44 on which the back ear tapes 42 can be releasably fastened. During use, the front channel can delaminate to relieve stress on the landing zone and avoid accidental detachment of the tapes 42.
ABSORBENT ARTICLES WITH BIOCOMPOSTABLE PROPERTIES
Disclosed is an absorbent article with biocompostable properties, such as a feminine hygiene pad. Particularly, the present invention is directed to an absorbent sanitary article with a high degree of biocompostability. The sanitary article comprises, in one embodiment, at least a top layer, a back layer, and absorbent core, wherein the absorbent core includes a superabsorbent polymer, and wherein at least the superabsorbent polymer is biocompostable. The absorbent article exhibits improved biocompostable properties and performance comparable to non-biodegradable absorbent articles which include non-biodegradable superabsorbent polymers.
