DISPOSABLE ABSORPTION PRODUCT AND ABSORBABLE CORE
20210378886 · 2021-12-09 ·

An absorbable core of a disposable absorption product, having an upper polyurethane foam layer which is liquid-permeable and a wrapping layer which is capable of absorbing liquid; the wrapping layer comprises an outer part and an inner part; the outer part is a first liquid-permeable sleeve body; the inner part is an accommodating cavity; a lower polyurethane foam layer and a particle layer are provided inside the accommodating cavity; the particle layer is distributed on an upper surface of the lower polyurethane foam layer and is formed by resin particles, organic acid particles and anhydrous bicarbonate particles mixed together. A disposable absorption product comprising said absorbable core is also provided. By integrating polyurethane polymer foam with superabsorbent polymer particles, organic acid particles and anhydrous bicarbonate particles, the absorbable core is good at absorbing and locking liquid, and provides soft and elastic supporting materials which provide great comfort to users.

ABSORBENT CORES COMPRISING FOAM MATERIAL

The present invention relates to absorbent cores for use in absorbent articles, preferably of the disposable personal hygiene type. It discloses absorbent cores comprising a foam layer incorporating a nonwoven fabric and having a top surface and a bottom surface, said foam layer top surface comprising one or more indented compressed portions and one or more raised non-compressed portions. The foam layer has openings extending through the foam and the nonwoven fabric. The absorbent core further comprises, joined to the bottom surface of the foam layer, a nonwoven comprising superabsorbent polymers. Absorbent cores of the present invention provide a fast acquisition of body exudates and a good liquid retention capacity. This is further achieved in a simple and cost-effective way without complex and considerable foam formulation and processing requirements.

Absorbent cores and methods for forming absorbent cores

Pulpless absorbent cores and methods of manufacture are disclosed. A method of forming a pulpless absorbent core may comprise moving a foraminous forming surface having un-masked portions and masked portions in a machine direction, the un-masked portions defining an absorbent core region. The method may further comprise depositing particulate material at a velocity of less than 1200 meters per minute in the absorbent core region while applying a vacuum. The absorbent core region may comprise: a front core region spanning a first half of the absorbent core region and a rear core region spanning a second half, wherein the front core region trails the rear core region in the machine direction, and the masked portions of the foraminous forming surface block airflow through the forming surface to cause greater than 60% of the particulate material deposited in the absorbent core region to locate in the front core region.

Menstrual Pad Assembly

A menstrual pad assembly for absorbing menstrual fluids includes a menstrual pad that has a first portion which is perpendicularly oriented with a second portion such that the menstrual pad forms a plus shape. An absorbent member extends upwardly from the second portion of the menstrual pad to extend between a user’s genitalia and the user’s buttocks when the menstrual pad is worn. The absorbent member absorbs bodily fluids thereby inhibiting the bodily fluids from escaping the menstrual pad. A ridge extends upwardly from the second portion of the menstrual pad to surround the user’s genitalia when the menstrual pad is worn. The ridge is comprised of a fluid absorbent material to inhibit bodily fluids from escaping the second portion.

ABSORBENT CORES AND METHODS FOR FORMING ABSORBENT CORES

Pulpless absorbent cores and methods of manufacture are disclosed. A method of forming an absorbent core may comprise moving a forming surface in a machine direction, creating a pressure differential across the forming surface, advancing a base carrier sheet on the forming surface in the machine direction, applying a first adhesive onto the base carrier sheet, and applying a first quantity of particulate material onto the first adhesive at a first cross-machine direction width. The method may further comprise depositing a matrix of material onto the first quantity of particulate material at a second cross-machine direction width, the matrix of material comprising a second quantity of particulate material and a second adhesive, wherein the second cross-machine direction width is smaller than the first cross-machine direction width, and wherein the second quantity of particulate material and the adhesive are pre-mixed prior to deposition onto the first quantity of particulate material.

Disposable absorbent articles

An array of disposable absorbent articles is described herein. The array has a first plurality of absorbent articles and a second plurality of absorbent articles. Each of the first plurality and second plurality of absorbent articles have absorbent cores having patterned end edges each having a plurality of inflection points.

Topsheets integrated with heterogenous mass layer

An absorbent article and method of making the absorbent article are disclosed. The absorbent article having a topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core structure having one or more layers wherein at least one layer is a heterogeneous mass layer, wherein the topsheet and the heterogeneous mass are integrated such that they reside in the same X-Y plane.

Absorbent article with an exudate management layer

An absorbent article can have a topsheet layer, a liquid impermeable layer, and an absorbent core positioned between the topsheet layer and the liquid impermeable layer. The absorbent article can further include an exudate management layer in fluid communication with the topsheet layer. In various embodiments, the exudate management layer can be positioned on a body facing surface of the topsheet layer. In various embodiments, the exudate management layer can be positioned between the topsheet layer and the absorbent core. The exudate management layer has a first component which defines an opening for direct passage of body exudates into the absorbent core. The exudate management layer has a second component which at least partially overlaps the first component of the exudate management layer and further extends in the longitudinal direction of the absorbent article in a direction towards the posterior region of the absorbent article.
