Absorbent structure
An absorbent structure comprising a heterogeneous mass comprising one or more enrobeable elements and one or more discrete open cell foam pieces wherein at least one of the discrete open cell foam pieces comprises a first vacuole and a second vacuole wherein the first vacuole has a first cross sectional area, wherein the second vacuole has a second cross sectional area, wherein the first vacuole enrobes a first enrobeable element, wherein the second vacuole enrobes a second enrobeable element, wherein the first enrobeable element and the second enrobeable element exhibit different surface properties.
Absorbent article
On a skin-contact surface on a front-surface side of a sanitary napkin 1, in a plan view, a concave low compression part 10 obtained by denting, from a skin-contact surface side, a closed region part partitioned by an inside curve 12 formed of a curved line swelling on a front end side of the sanitary napkin 1, and an outside curve 13 that is located on a front end side than the inside curve 12, is formed of a curved line swelling on a front end side of the sanitary napkin 1 and has both ends that are connected respectively to the both ends of the inside curve 12 is formed. In the low compression part 10, a plurality of high compression parts 11 formed discretely respectively along the inside curve 12 and outside curve 13 is formed. The high compression parts 14 formed along the inside curve 12 are arranged over an entire length of the inside curve 12, and the high compression parts 15 formed along the outside curve 13 are arranged on a center part of the outside curve 13, and the high compression parts are not arranged at both end parts of the outside curve 13. Sanitary napkin 1 makes it easy to deform along a shape of a body and make it difficult to generate twists or leakage.
MULTI-LAYERED ABSORBENT ARTICLE
An absorbent article for menstrual and/or incontinence purposes, having a unique two-layer acquisition and absorbent structure. The cover layer includes a nonwoven material. The absorbent core includes multiple strata including super absorbent, fiber material that is pulp and/or bicomponent fibers, and a binder material. The total thickness of the absorbent article is less than or equal to the thickness of absorbent articles of similar absorbent characteristics. The absorbent article includes various absorbent properties that are improved despite parity or reduction in overall thickness.
Absorbent cores comprising a superabsorbent polymer immobilizing material
Described herein is an absorbent article having an absorbent core. The absorbent core includes a superabsorbent polymer material and a superabsorbent polymer immobilizing material. The superabsorbent polymer immobilizing material includes from about 20% to about 70% of a first polymer and from about 30% to about 80% of a second polymer. The superabsorbent polymer immobilizing material has a Shear Viscosity at 10 (1/s) at 230° C. of from about 300 mPa.Math.s to about 10,000 mPa.Math.s.

ABSORBENT ARTICLE
An absorbent article includes a permeable top sheet, an impermeable back sheet, an absorbing part disposed between the top sheet and the back sheet, and a friction reducing layer disposed between the back sheet and the absorbing part. The friction between the friction reducing layer and the back sheet or the friction between the friction reducing layer and the absorbing part is less than the friction between the absorbing part and the back sheet.
Disposable absorbent article with unitary topsheet and unitary absorbent article
The present invention relates to disposable absorbent articles such as sanitary napkins, panty liners, baby diapers, adult incontinence articles and sweat pads. According to the present invention the absorbent article in the region designated for liquid deposition on its wearer facing surface has a single layer topsheet onto which liquid to be absorbed is provided during use of the article. The absorbent article includes a backsheet forming the liquid barrier surface and a unitary absorbent core between the topsheet and the backsheet. Importantly the unitary core provides improved liquid handling to the absorbent article and increases the masking, i.e. ability to hide stains due to absorbed liquid, of the article. This is particularly beneficial in the context of articles for absorption of liquids with high color intensity, such as menstrual liquid or urine of older adults.
